So i'm getting a new laptop and it doesn't come with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. They are offering it for $79 for a 1-year subscription. Are they any ways to just download it for free or are these software programs more sophisticated nowadays?

I played uncharted 3 for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I think that although it looks great, parts 2 and 1 were better than 3 - although it was still a good game.

On a somewhat related note, I often watch things on Netflix rather than get out my DVDs, mainly because Netflix has things in HD and I'm too cheap to go out and rebuy some things on blu-ray when I can just watch them on there instead.

Hmm.. I'm thinking of going to Spain at some point this month. Maybe.

I want to go somewhere this summer. I can budget enough money to go pretty much anywhere I want. Chances are I'll be traveling solo. Any suggestions? Let me pre-empt by saying I have no interest in Thai brothels.

The only things of consequence that I can remember about 2006 was, Saddam was executed, and that it was a World Cup Year - that is the wc with the Zidane headbutt If I recall. Oh yes, there was that horrible thrashing down under, the last of the 'old guard' Warne, Mcgrath etc.

It's got nothing to do with what happened in the rest of the world. Just to me personally that's a year I'd like to go back to as I can see that being the year that had the biggest influence on my life over the last 7-8 years.

If you're talking about going back to see cool historical things, I'd love to have been around (and in the right place with the right amount of money) in the 70s to see how the first "proper" home computers started taking shape from the inside.

This is exactly what they should have done. They did, in the end, but it was way too late. They could have easily used their market influence to set the ball rolling in the early days. That and sorted out postal rental much faster.

Dazey would go back to the 80s to nip in to the local Blockbusters.

Gonna do 2 weeks in Europe for Maiden - so far Sweden, France, and England are on the itinerary so far. Also planning to go back to Vegas for the GN'R residency.

I don't believe in making new years resolutions (if you really want to do something, you start any time) but these are the things I have planned for this year:

- Start eating 3 meals a day (waiting for my new fridge/freezer, which should make this easier - old one is broken).

- Read/study more (already in progress).

- Get published.

Every year tourists get killed by moa's so it's nothing new really.

Similarly, not having the means of financially supporting the child is a reason to do the same?

...These don't seem like decisions that should be made after one gets pregnant, they should be considered beforehand. Anything otherwise is clearly using abortion as an late contraceptive in my opinion.

And it's not about "a woman's right to do as she wants with her body", it's about "a woman's right to kill another (potential) human being"
