I don't know where the banner competition stands right now, but I don't believe we can have the actual Gn'R logo in the banner. I could be incorrect about that, but I think I remember HV saying something about that in the other thread.

I haven't read HV's post but I should imagine that anything (including the current logo) with copyrighted material (photos of the band members, the logo etc) could get you into some uncomfortable legal situations should the band/owner decide to take action. (Not that I think the band would)

I'll be getting paid for all the work I've done recently so I've just bought two old games that I wished I could've afforded ages ago. Uncharted 3 and Dark Souls.

I'll never understand how people say say the Governor episodes were good. 2 episodes where nobody gives a shit about half of the cast except for one character who doesn't really say a lot in one of them anyway. Incredibly boring.

The Governor was good in S3 and in this most recent episode but his two solo episodes sucked other than setting up the story. Glad to see him killed off because he was getting very annoying, in my opinion.

The infection stuff was nice, it seems like the only people that are complaining about that kind of stuff are the people that see it as "filler" because they've read the comics - for someone that's never read them it seems like it could be an interesting storyline if it were further developed.

...Ditto people complaining about staying in one place for too long. I'm almost certain that were a zombie apocalypse type thing were to happen, people would want to build up some kind of civilisation and get some normality in their lives - of course once you found a safe place you'd hold up there, start farming and try to sustain yourselves as long as possible. In my opinion these kind of "inward" storylines are the best thing. It doesn't all have to be about mindless killing, but rather this kind of constant struggle to build a decent way of life that you could bring kids up in.

Even the early stuff with the governor in some ways was realistic. It's very easy to imagine that in this sort of world, once you do get two well established camps, you're going to meet someone that makes it their goal to have the biggest/best camp and to "make it into the history books". That sort of thing has happened all throughout history so it's not that far fetched. Having some kind of crazy super-villian is boring and over the top in my opinion.

Looking forward to the next half of the season. I hope they find somewhere else that they can hold up in and make a home.

Rick, Andrea, Maggie and the Governor are all played by Brits. With Rick it's painfully obvious whenever he has to show any emotion and it really ruins the immersion (lol).

Oh, I can completely agree with that. Gameplay is the most important thing but when it comes to Pokémon, I'll constantly be comparing it to the one I enjoyed as a kid - new ones just feel like they're using it as a cash cow and so the childish aspect is more likely to bug me in that respect. I hope that makes sense. My original comment was more to provoke a response than anything.

Yeah, firmware on both consoles will be rushed and constantly adding new features that were originally expected with patches.

The ability to patch has made developers lazy/careless in my opinion but it's at least cool to have the option.

I spent saturday playing infamous. I got it when Sony were giving away free games (last year?) because someone hacked into PSN and only just got round to playing it. It's pretty fun albeit a little repetitive.

I don't get all the grief this show is getting in this thread, especially the stuff where people are complaining about production values (it looks just fine to me) and lack of character development (there have been some emotional/touching scenes in my opinion). I see the film as less about surviving endless waves of zombies and more like the different situations that people find themselves in, trying to make a life out of something so hopeless.

I just did the main missions with Franklin, so with the amounts I was able to invest (about $77k and then $100k) I was making an extra $30k-ish on each of the missions, which doesn't seem too much. That said, I need to start making some serious dough soon because I wanna buy that golf course ($150M).

I don't think the emphasis on this game is being short of money at any point.

Edit: I find it funny that Trevor had the most amount of money early on in the game.

There are no serious problems with the fat PS3's as far as I know. I once read that less than 1% of them failed compared to 33% of the original 360s.. not sure how true that is but the YLOD fault on the PS3 is very uncommon. I wouldn't worry about it AxlisOld. That said, new PS3's are going pretty cheap right now and there's a tonne of great games that you can get very cheaply.
