  1. Yeah roll ups are tons cheaper, i ain't been a student but i been skint frequently. Also, i dunno what it's like round your way but tons of shops sell dodgy fags now? Like knock offs or duty frees or whatever, i pay a fiver for 20 B&H but they're usually arab or polish or whatever as opposed to buying proper ones for like 8 pound a deck. But even then, you do what, 15 quid probably now for a 50g bag of Drum or Golden Virginia or whatever? And they used to last me out a fortnight.

I'm a firm believer that the only way to quit cigs is to go cold turkey. No patches bullshit, no e-cigs, no working your way down. Cold. Turkey. The only way to do it. Don't even finish the package you still have. Break them in half and throw them out.

I've tried an e-cig though and it was odd. It's just not the same ritual to me anyway. No charm. Too synthetic.

Charm? You're meant to smoke em Use', not shag em

Never bought any dodgy fags from any shops round here, I could probably find someone that's selling them but I've never tried. I usually just go for a box of amber leaf (previously golden virginia but amber leaf's cheaper).

I agree that e-cigs are kinda "synthetic" and not as "dirty" tasting. That's one of the reasons I felt better, but also one of the reasons why I'd still have a craft proper fag every now and then. Still e-cigs are kinda cool.

  2. Too fiddley for me. It's why i don't keep a Zippo lighter, gotta change the flints and the fuckin' wick and all this bollocks, part of whats good about fags is the immediateness of em, you chuck your money down, spark it up, suck it down and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :) If I had to construct my fag like some sort of fuckin' mechano set everytime I probably wouldn't bother with the bastards. It's why i don't or rather can't smoke roll ups, when you're on the go you don't wannabe fannying about pulling out your papers and baccy and rackin' it up and all that, rather just buy a pack of Benson than all that piss fartin' around.

Roll ups are SO much cheaper though. I can tell you've never been a student.

If I couldn't buy rolling baccy now I'd probably have quit 'cos straights are prohibitively expensive.

I used to just leave my e-cig all connected and in my pocket, if anything it was less hassle than smoking properly 'cos I didn't have to bother fighting the wind to spark it up.

  3. I used one almost exclusively for a little while (just the odd crafty proper cigarette) and it worked pretty well, I felt much better.

..Then the fucking charger broke and I went back to the real deal. :(

    So yes, they work.

  4. This is a guess but:

    Simpsons (Duff beer)

    Breaking Bad (pink bear)

    Walking Dead (sheriff hat)

    Dr Who (tardis)

    Dexter (knife set?)

    Boardwalk Empire (box of whisky)

    Lost (view from window)

    Arrested Development (dead dove bag)

    Prison Break (origami swan)

  5. Nope but that was probably for the best that the PC and 360 versions were cancelled as the game was not very good.

Not great, but definitely worth the £15 that it dropped to like a week after release. It wasn't one of the worst games I've ever played so I'd give it a punt if you (@Sandy) can get it cheaply.

Talking of GTA - I'm trying to complete GTA IV at the moment as I've never done so; this will be the third time that I have gotten towards then end of the game and I am determined to finish it this go around.

I'm thinking of doing the same. I'm in the same boat, I loved GTA 4 but never got around to finishing it. :(

  6. MJ never really stood a fair chance due to his celebrity. If the article is true, he really did need a lot of help but I guess everybody else is only interested in what they could get from him. I guess he wanted to prove to a lot of people that he still had it, but he probably wasn't quite ready for it.

  7. I love horror movies but generally find horror games a bit too much for my mind to take. I really struggle to play them.

The last of us has a lot of popular appeal, which is quite rare for horror games so I'm thinking it can't be that bad. Right?

FEAR is the "worst" game ever made. I can't take it enough to finish it. (But I've built it up in my mind so much that I can't even play it again from the start).

  8. Also, he says he's the biggest living rock star (moving on from the rock part), but he then says, "I am Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Axl Rose." Is he implying he believes Axl Rose is dead?

I was just about to say the same thing. Both Morrison and Hendrix are dead, anyone think he thought the same about Axl?

  9. Just added a list of games I want to my amazon wishlist.. So far there's about 26 games (most of which have already been released) totalling around £560.

Safe to say that I still have plenty of mileage in the current gen.

  10. I expect Microsoft to be doing major damage control and desperately attempting to justify the choices they've made for the X1. They've basically killed their own console before it's even been released.

I completely disagree and I'm not even a Microsoft fan. I think people will still buy the console in droves.

  11. ^ downzy, I get your point but constant lack of time (and too much time online) means there's "classics" that I haven't even finished yet or even bought yet (recent ones include skyrim, gta4, fallout 3...) so it doesn't bother me too much. I have about 20 games that I haven't finished yet or put any serious hours into so ill do those first. Saves money. :)
