All I heard so far were rumors ... and rumors are not much to go on ...I still don't think they're gonna release the album when the band is split into pieces touring with side projects. Do you think Best Buy cut the deal because they think they are going to make a shit-tonne of money off sales of Chinese Democracy? They cut the deal because it's good advertising for their store. People will come into Best Buy to pick up Chinese Democracy and they will walk out with Chinese Demcracy and some electronic gadget that caught their eye. Chinese Democracy is merely something to promote their store with. Black Friday is the perfect time to have people walking into Best Buy too. It's just smart business. I dunno what you do but in business deals you come up with a product and sell it to a business or retailer, and they sell it for you. They do not tell you when its going to be released. This will be used to promote their store, not a doubt in hell about that. However that in no way means they can dictate to Axl when he should release his own album.
