Faith No More to reform

Any album recommendations for someone new to FNM?

What are the essentials?

Just get "This is it: The Best of Faith no More". It's got a good selection of the songs.

Well yes and no - it leaves out too much of Angel Dust and King for a day.

So I recommend that you check out the essintial 4 of their studio work: The Real Thing, Angel Dust, King For A Day and Album of the year. Start with one and move it up.. Dunno what you would prefer, but I would suggest that you would start with Angel Dust or King for a Day.

Ah not download :( I won't pay that amount of money to watch a dozen shitty bands before Faith come on.

Really? I would pay almost anything since this might be the only time to see them.

Thats a good point, I'm still holding out for day tickets or any other dates, despite the website saying it's the only UK date they'll be doing...

If anyone, ANYONE knows or hears of any other shows being played please PM me. I really want to see them but i think i hate korn and limp bizkit just as much as i love FNM, be interesting to see if Patton makes any comments about these 2 bands. Anyways, i know its unlikely they will do any other UK dates but cheers guys!

The good thing about a festival is the fact that theres usually great bands on one of the other stages. I'd recommend you to get a ticket, or even just a day ticket. I'm going to spend this year checking out the unknown bands announced.

Also, I think its their only UK date.

I'm willing to take my chances that they'll do warmup gigs beforehand (this whole 'Only UK date' thing may just be a way of selling more Download tickets, which aren't selling like hot cakes this year due to the rival Sonisphere festival), or they may add dates after Download is played. It's also possible that Download will start to sell day-tickets for this reason.

The kind of fans at Download would just ruin the whole experience IMO

Their basic setlist in 1997 was:

Collision

Midlife Crisis

The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies

Caffiene

Last Cup Of Sorrow

Evidence

Easy

Home Sick Home

Introduce Yourself

Naked In Front Of The Computer

King For A Day

Pristina

Epic/ I Believe I Can Fly

Ashes To Ashes

I Got That Feeling

Just A Man

I Started A Joke

We Care A Lot

Be Aggressive

So I hope they drop Album of the year stuff and add stuff from the earlier albums - something new would be superb of course, but dunno. Gould hinted that they might bring something new, but dont know what that mean: the best thing would be a new album in late 2009 of course!

I think the hits would be good with the classics thrown in.

From Out of Nowhere

Caffeine

Midlife Crisis

Gentle Art of Making Enemies

We Care A Lot

Evidence

King For A Day

Got That Feeling

Last Cup of Sorrow

Richocet

Jizzlobber

Surprise You're Dead

Ashes to Ashes

Crack Hitler

Easy

War Pigs

Be Agressive

Epic

No Digging The Grave? No Caffeine? No Introduce Yourself? No Edge of the World? Not even A Small Victory?

Jesus, dude. That list sucks.

I'm just a man.

Caffeine is my favorite FNM track. I like Richocet more than Digging the Grave. I sort of picked Easy over Edge of the World and I Started a Joke.

Land of Sunshine/Collision/From Out of Nowhere?

I hope they have some new songs. A new album.
