jimb0
I know there are some new rules and stipulations and whatever... but I'm not trying to hate. It's just I was looking up Nightrain Rock AM Ring. And not only doesn't it seem like the same band anymore, it doesn't even seem like the same frontman. So I'm just curious, as nut-swingers transform to haters before the trainwreck that is GNR.... Is it due to no new music, or the horrendous live shows Axl does these days. If it's somethin else feel free to mention. Gordon Comstock
No music is frustrating, but I'm still a fan, still gonna see them whenever they come around, still hoping one day to hear new music. I've been listening to the RAR 06 show recently too actually, and holy fuck does it put every show from the last 2 years (at least) to shame. Hollywood Gunner
were the 11-12 shows what made you turn on the band ?In a sense Yes... Axl is no longer giving it his all. well judging from what i saw 2 and a half weeks ago, he is... hes in his fucking 50's lol obviously people slow down with age... just cuz he doesnt sound or act the same as he did in his 20's or 30's does not mean hes not giving it his all... anyone who likes the old stuff doesnt have to support what hes doing now, but its reason enough to show the guy a bit of respect, cuz he gave us alot... and he went through alot of mental aguish to do so... some people say boo-fuckin-hoo about his personal problems and dont agree with the way hes done things, but fact of the matter is, he created and performed some of our favorite music... so whether or not i think he had a valid reason to have an emotional breakdown or wtv the fuck happened, it affected him in his own way... he paid a price to put that music out, and im thankful for all that... hes made some bad decisions, but has also made some very good ones, just like anyone else... and the fact that he gave us afd, lies, uyi 1&2 should at least be enough to show the guy some respect... the reason i want new music is cuz i liked CD, if i hadnt, i wouldnt be on here bashing it... id focus on the stuff i do like

Thelonious
OP, you have presented a false dichotomy fallacy. It isn't black or white, nor A or B.I was concerned when Adler was fired, then I started losing interest when Izzy left, and then "The Spaghetti Incident" further eroded my support. When Chicken Bucket was hired, I concluded that the franchise had become a joke. Edited August 1, 2013 by Thelonious

GNR123GNR456
I still like the band, don't get me wrong. I still want them to succeed, I still want Axl to succeed. But, it's hard to want Axl to succeed when it seems like Axl himself doesn't want to succeed and wants to be downgraded to a nostalgia act playing to casual fans who don't give two shit's about the new band. Why did Axl make this new band, to tour the world playing the hit's that the man he refers to as a "cancer" helped co-write and make famous? To have a band where one of them is obviously annoyed about the lack of production this band has made?It all started at Rock In Rio 2011 where I found out Axl's true intention's were: to be a nostalgia act and piss away everything that was the potential of a great band. Compare that to Rock In Rio 2001 when Axl was firing on all cylinder's, we had new music, and a album to look forward to plus the intrigue of the new band. Now, what's there to look forward to? New music that probably won't come out, continuous touring with a out of shape Axl Rose? Hell, what's going on with the Vegas DVD?
