GivenToFly
It's strange for me how few science fiction movies I like considering how most of my favorite books and tv show belong to the genre. I recently saw Elysium by Neill Blomkamp and made a thread about it.

ADPT
Has anyone seen The Andromeda Strain? I remember it had this real documentary feel to it that helped ratchet the tension right up.I really wish someone would attempt to adapt Alfred Bester's work for the screen. Zint
Invaders From MarsI'm old school so I prefer the 1953 classic.I like the Tobe Hooper remake, it's 80's schlocky but fun.

Hmm, not really. Many crucial aspects of the P.K. Dick's novel don't appear in Scott's movie. It's a shame. One of my favorite is Alphaville, directed by Jean-Luc Godard. It's about an inhuman totalitarian state run by a massive computer called Alpha-60...

wasted
I'm not sure if it's straight remake. og Solaris is still kind of a snoozefest, sort of like a 2001 or that movie Moon. but it's the classic snoozefest.
