Gia
Rosemary's Baby is overrated to meThe Exorcist has some awesome lines and scenes"your mother sucks cocks in hell" being the best

Val22
I think the Exorcist was way scarier than Rosemary's baby.I liked both movies, but the devil possessing little Regan and watching her grow more ugly everyday was freaky. Being a Catholic it freaked me out and I actually didn't see the Exorcist until it was later released with extra footage. I just couldn't go back in the 70's because it just was too scary to me and that theme song was constantly played on the radio.Rosemary's baby was a very good movie, but it didn't freak me out too much. I think they should have showed the baby, but leaving it to your imagination was cool too. Getting glimpses of the devil raping Rosemary was freaky too.I think both movies are classics and still hold up today.
DR DOOM
I prefer Rosemary's Baby, but that doesn't mean its better or anything...both great movies.
izzygirl
The Exorcist without a single doubt. It's a masterpiece, from the acting to the music, everything is great.
MEXzilla
The excorcist is easily hands down better than Rosemary's Baby. The Exorcist is genuinely scary but it doesn't sacrifice plot, it has masterful writing and directing to boot. The film never gives cheap scares like so many films in the genre and I could honestly go on and on about how great The Exorcist is.
bran
both are great movies, but i give the edge to the exorcist
Angelica
Exorcist is scarier, but Rosemary is wittier, more enjoyable and has aged better. Also, RUTH GORDON. And JOHN CASSAVETES.
Stiff Competition
Rosemary's Baby by a long shot, for me. It suspenseful yet has a touch of humor throughout that really keeps it fresh.Polanski in the Sixties is pure gold.
