Graeme
I found Battle Royale a pretty grim and affecting but utterly compelling piece of cinema. It kind of blew me away, I was left thinking about it for days...

DieselDaisy
Watched Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence last night. It is even more confusing than the original (if that is possible to believe); gain, like the original, stunning animation and music however the film's metaphysics provide a steep learning curve - I had to watch the original two-three times to comprehend it all. Also re-watched a good ole' '80s Anime which I had not seen since my teenage years, Wicked City: venus fly-trap vaginas haha - nobody ever forgets that scene.
