is there a program/website or something which tells you where your drive space is mainly used ie. which folders/where

cause i have 8%free hard space and i havent got a fucking clue where its going :drevil:

145 gb :)

I believe a program called CrucialUkScan does it. I had an IT techie do that to my PC, and it did it. Where you get it, I have no idea. Try Download.com :)

i dled it

it just shows you which types of memory are compatible for my pc :(

Ok, scrap that one. Does it not show you where it is? Tried uninstalling things enmasse?

ive uninstalled every big program i have

the biggest program i have now is and update for my ipod :drevil: the biggest useage of space i can find is my gnr folder.. but i put all my big shows on my ipod and it didnt make that much of a difference :(

All that animal porn, eh JDRM? ;):lol:

no.. JDRM keeps his animal porn on dvds

If I were you, I would get AdAware from Lavasoft, check for all Spyware and Adware - clear it all out. Then, do virus check's. The sweep again. Finally, get the Microsoft one, and then use that as well. Removing MSN Messenger, Screensavers, Desktop Backgrounds etc. should also free up more space.

i think its safe to say i havent got any viruses, adwear, spywear or any other wear you can think of.. i hva every anti-vi program on the face of this earth.... i do microsof anit vi scans all the time ect...

however.. my account on my pcdid become corrupt a few months ago and i had to make a new one and transfer all my files ect... could my old profile be taking up this space?

There's a possibility that you have a partitioned drive and you've only been using one half of it.

Have a look under "My Computer" and see if you have more than one "Local Disk".

Out of curiosity, what was taking up the space?

the system restore feature

i turned it off (to delete the past log files) and turned it back on (incase i buggered up my pc again)

a lovely way to clear uo 75 gbs

all thanks to username! :)
