goldfinger19
Sure there are plenty of bands that could end up being the opener. It could be anyone as we learned in 2002 with Mixmaster Mike and CKY. I mean there are plenty of bands riding on current or upcoming radio hits right now such as:Avenged Sevenfold (Doing a Canadian Tour before September 23)Trivium (Touring with Maiden in the Winter)Powerman 5000 (Hope it isn't them but they would be available)Papa Roach (Prepping for a tour...going EMO...)Disturbed (Supposedly doing the Jager tour again in the states)Queens Of The Stone Age (Writing right now..no current plans)Army Of Anyone (Releasing a new album soon...Axl and the Deleo's...take that VR! Stone Sour (No plans after Family Values tour)HIM (Nothing that I know of yet)Kill Cheerleader (Not a chance but it should be them)Muse (Great band that is busy, but they are fucking cool, so I mentioned them)Three Days Grace (Tour Ends in early September)Wolfmother (Could be...hope not)The Panic Channel (Navarro's new band, he likes GNR...who knows)Or they could pick a great older band like:Alice In Chains (If this happened I'd go to every show)Sebastian Bach (Of course it is possible, but I saw him in Europe and I'd rather see something different)The Cult (Not touring, could bring back one of the greatest tours ever)When it comes down to it, I have no clue who could be opening, but these are just a bunch of possibilities. All I can say is it better be something good because last time around was rough, in other words no Mixmaster Mike again. In my opinion QOTSA, Alice In Chains, Army of Anyone, or Kill Cheerleader would be great choices.Anyways, comment on bands you'd like to see open, who knows maybe they'll take it into consideration. goldfinger19
Buckcheery, don't know how I missed him when I was going through my list of bands on Winamp! Haha. He'd be an awesome fit!Meh to Silvertide. They were cool the first time I saw them opening for VR, but the other times I saw them were boring, like when they opened for Van Halen. goldfinger19
Muse. You are right man. They are one of the best touring bands out there today. I saw them in Toronto on the 31st of July and it was amazing. I can't wait until September when I get to see them again!

bandita
Avenged Sevenfold would be great, they get tons of airplay here and would be a surefire boost to ticket sales and getting Alice in Chains back together would be fantastic and The Cult is a bit out there but I would love to see them as well.I am sure Bach will still be around or possibly Kid Rock since he guested at a NY show. I kinda enjoyed Mixmaster Mike at MSG in 2002....
Negleyjj
Buckcherry or Shinedown...Also I'm not sure if they'd fit, but I'm also a bit of a Coheed and Cambria fan, so I guess them too

benchiefjr
first off, Papa Roach isn't going EMO, they've said they're making songs like Queen, Def Leppard, 80s Hair bands.I want the opener(s) to be Avenged Sevenfold and Buckcherry, that tour would kick ass! I WILL FINALLY see them for the first time in my life regardless.

TeeJay410
if gnr asked avenged sevenfold a7x would drop any previous plans and go with guns, no doubtfor me itd be buckcherry or a7x, two great bands, a7x is a very well known band and would bring in lots of fans, and buckcherry needs to get out there and be known for their music besides just "crazy bitch"
