They were very anal tonight about recording. I was able to get two minutes of Used To Lve Her before the security threatened to take my phone away. Great show... It was a good crowd and Axl made several comments on Jersey and commented on how nice the Continental Airlines Arena was. And he thanked the crowd for being so patient and big. He was definitely happy to see a full crowd. He also said the show started a bit late not because of his "sorry ass", but there was technical diffilcuties (keyboard). His comment was funny. I hope someone got it on video. There was a moment when Axl said that he loves doing the Jersey show and he would like to continue (referring to the assholes throwing shit on stage). He said that if you see someone throwing stuff on stage to point them out. There were several items thrown on stage. Axl was very calm and collective about it even being humerous while it was happening. Bumblefoot was superb this evening. Out of the sections that were open, the venue was 85-90% full. SWINGTRADER Posted November 6, 2006 Share Posted November 6, 2006 Most of the people at HTGTH are making it seem like the show was shit, but from the clips I just saw the show doesn't seem like it was different from any other nights for the exception of the shorter set. Very impressed with Axl's vocals in those clips . Axl is just so far and above everyone else in that band that it makes them look bad. That's one of the problem's with this new band , none of the other members come close to matching Axl's stage presence. (something like that) meaning that was just an excuse they made for his lateness. That show was the best it will ever get for me. We started out in the lower level section right in the front row with some funny drunk VIP guy harassing me and my friend. On the way back down from sitting with us he busted his ass by falling flat on his face. Funny as hell! Then 2 of the security guards we knew snuck us down into the first section of GA about 3 songs in. UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!!! We were literally 3 ppl away from the stage at one point! I could actually see the dirt on his sneakers that's how close we got!!! I am still on my Axl high! (hopefully it will carry me thru work that I have to start in about an hour on 3 hours of sleep!) But it's all good!! It was a very long nite but his lateness didn't seem so bad with 2 opening acts taking up some time before they came on. Axl was in a GREAT mood. Very vocal and playful. It was almost ruined when he threatened to leave if ppl didn't stop throwing things ont he stage. My heart stopped for a minute but nothing ever came of it THANK GOD!! Best show I've ever been to!!!!
