November_rain
Since this was one of the first venue's to sell out, and considering Axl's endearment for the city anyway. Perhaps this could be an appropriate place to make an announcement or at least introduce a brand new song. MSG will have the biggest crowd so far on the North American tour, this might just make a little bit of sense. Any thoughts?Didn´t Merck say that maybe we could just come and find it in the shelves in a store or something like that?Maybe they don´t plan on an announcement and just drop the album so that it can have an unexpected effect on people.IMO...but who am I? tat2d1
It's an interesting theory, however there's no point building hype for it. All that will happen is people will complain when it doesn't happen. If he does then fantastic, lets enjoy it when it happens! until then, let's not get our expectations up!Exactly. Learn to expect nothing and you usually won't be disappointed
Powerage5
No. Bands don't just up and announce an album at a show, even if the band is Guns N' Roses. If ANYTHING special happens at MSG, it will be a good setlist, with maybe TWAT or Prostitute or Perefect Crime, etc. That's best case scenario, but I don't see MSG being any different than tonight in Portland (And the Cumberland Civic Center is shit small, trust me!) Monty
As a GNR fan you should distinguish between hope and expectation . . . if that makes sense .I think the ideal time to have announced a release date would have been at the VMAs, with maybe a performance of Better seeing as its likely to be the first single.
