Takeshi Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 When the current guys get tired of waiting around for CD to be released and leave the band, who do you think Axl should hire to replace them?
feconroses Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 axl shud fire them and get the old guys back. easy as that.
Autokrat Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 He should settle down and write a book called "ark of covenant, the holy grail, chinese democracy and other things people believe in but never were found". I would buy it... could be a bit of a time between first announcement and release date though, like 10+ years.
SteveVai Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I say hire Louis Tully, Janosz Poha, Zuul, Vigo the Carpahian and Goza.
Autokrat Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I say hire Louis Tully, Janosz Poha, Zuul, Vigo the Carpahian and Goza. Are you the Gatekepper or the Keymaster?
SteveVai Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 The Keymaster - have you seen the gatekeeper?
The Sandman Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Hmm...Paul HugeJohn 5BucketheadLes ClaypoolBrainAnd I'd keep Dizzy and Pittman
Autokrat Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 The Keymaster - have you seen the gatekeeper?Won't tell... I'm afraid of giant Marshmallow Man... would just delay CD further if he hit Axls home or the record company
Lukinx Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 He'll probably be getting some nu-metal bullshit helpers....
Autokrat Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 The Keymaster - have you seen the gatekeeper?Look! SteveVai found the gatekeeper...
bin laden killed gnr Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 The Keymaster - have you seen the gatekeeper?Won't tell... I'm afraid of giant Marshmallow Man... would just delay CD further if he hit Axls home or the record company He wears a "Where's Slash" t-shirt now. Axl would throw a hissy fit.
SteveVai Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 (edited) The Keymaster - have you seen the gatekeeper?Look! SteveVai found the gatekeeper...Bow down to GOWZER!!!!!!!!Set course for the Rose estate Edited December 14, 2006 by SteveVai
AndyBandy Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Axl should keep Fortus and Stinson, I'm more concerned about the remaining lineup.I don't think either Finck or Bumblefoot is worthy of being lead guitarist in Guns N Roses. Not because of Slash and my love for him, but because none of them have what it takes to play first string in GNR. The problem is that good guitarists don't just appear anymore, mostly because the entire bandindustry is dying.
Jackamo! Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Mother Goose should go solo for a while. It'll outsell Chi D for sho.
Gunzen Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 When the current guys get tired of waiting around for CD to be released and leave the band, who do you think Axl should hire to replace them?that wont happen, cause they dont have anything else this good going on, maybe they should leave like Izzy did? We all know how successful the JuJu Hounds were, or how about the Snake Pit? LOL, you need a singer, and VR is successful due to Scott, without him, Duff/Izzy wouldnt be doing shit. No offenese, but I dont see anyone knocking down Robert(S), Ron, and Tommy's doors. Though I do think brain could get another good gig.
wasted Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 There really is no one left - every known guitarist has been into the studio, just about every producer other than Rick Rubin has given it a shot. I think he wants to go solo. Like Elton John. Do piano ballads for Disney movies that sort of thing.Jack Black - Lead Guitar/Emo Prince of the Noobs - RythmnDave Moustaine - Drums50 Cent - Lead VocalsAxl - Piano Sort of Rock N Roll Hip Hop.
Randy Lahey Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Axl just needs Bucket and Brain back, then he'll have the best band in the world. Bumblefoots a real nice guy but unfortunately he's following a guitar god in Buckethead.
F*ck Fear Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 To hell with Buckethead for fuck sakes. Great player? Yes, but he's gone, and should stay gone.Ron Thal fucking rips.
Randy Lahey Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 (edited) From seeing the band in 2002, to seeing the band again in 2006, my biggest disappointment has been Ron Thal's playing. Nice Bloke, but can't stand his guitar playing. Edited December 15, 2006 by Randy Lahey
F*ck Fear Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 From seeing them in 2002 to now in 2006 I am glad there isn't some guy standing on the stage wearing a KFC bucket and a mask.Ron may not be as good as Bucket, but he still rips.
Randy Lahey Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 You're right that he's not as good as Bucket. He can't even play Buckets solos. So you're just another person that chooses style over substance.
bucketbot101 Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 When the current guys get tired of waiting around for CD to be released and leave the band, who do you think Axl should hire to replace them?He should buy Buckethead some more rare horror movie merch and get him back for one
AndyBandy Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Buckethead was a freak! I have never seen such a crappy stagedisplay! Who in Gods name wants to see the robot dance during a GNR show? If you guys miss him you can probably catch him at the annual Star Trek Convention!
