GeorgeGlass
Was Pitman there?I think that I've seen him on one of photos, but I just cant find it now..I'm not really surenone of the songs they played need synth or what not. except maybe TIL.And? He could've sung back-up vocals and played tambourine.exactly. my point was he was not needed.Pitman is needed more than slash.shirley you can't be serious. The camera couldn't handle those screams, lol. This performance should be sent to every DJ who every blew this band off the last five years--challenge them to put it on their radio stations website. Incredible performance, and for those wondering about Axl's voice, from about the 1:30 mark on or so he just goes into another, not earthly, gear! Some of those screams are the stuff of rock legend! What a legendary video--one for the ages!KOHD CBGB's

smokingarthur
This should be posted in secret gig number 2. Sorry guys I am referring to the Rose Bar show at the Gramercy Park Hotel:Funny thing I was talking with a "friend" last night who I don't speak with that often because she is a graphic designer and is usually out and about. Anyway I mentioned to her that I was at the Gramercy Park Hotel, then she cuts me off and mentions the GNR show and says she was there with at least seven or eight people. At this point my heart nearly sank... Not that she could have gotten me in but had I know she was there I would have instructed her on what to do. She did not get out of the Hotel till after 0500.One correction I must make as well. I mentioned that I was "making meaningless conversation with one of Ashba's friends that was dressed like a Motley Crue nightmare".... Apparently that was Dizzy.... I did not recognize him..........Sorry Dizzy..... Edited February 19, 2010 by smokingarthur

gunsguy
Mr. Varvatos has also turned his Bowery store, located in the former site of the legendary CBGB punk nightclub, into something of a destination for music lovers. Amid the cashmere sweaters and sharply tailored suits are Alice Cooper platinum discs, a Captain Fantastic pinball machine, scores of original music posters and books. Many of the sales assistants are musicians. Shoppers, including pals such as Ringo Starr, are invited to take part in impromptu jams that take place on the stage in the middle of the room."It is very much in the spirit of music in the Bowery and we have had some legendary times," he says. "Guns N' Roses came to the Bowery store to headline New York Fashion Week and they were meant to perform four songs for me. In the end, they played for two and a half hours solid. It was a complete surprise and an amazing show that was talked about for weeks. One of the guys from ZZ Top said it was one of his five greatest moments in music."full story here:http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704679204575647231557222208.html
