I guess he wanted to be in a band with Dave because they were old friends, I don't know. Gilby definitely had that modern sound, especially in Rockstar Supernova.

I cannot answer the question concerning why GNR sites are lacking promotion. That would be a question for their genius manager.... let's leave it at that.
