Brits like Len and Dazey can be witnessed in the US politics thread, however, where is America's reciprocation: where are mygnr's Americans in our electoral thread? I would have thought Americans would be keenly interested in the make up of Reigate & Banstead's local council, or whether or not Plaid Cymru can hold onto Dwyfor Meirionnydd, the SNP Clydebank and Milngavie - in the interests and spirit of friendship, surely?

I just go where the conversation is, quite frankly i couldn't give a shit about any politics, British, American or otherwise.  Did you see Paul Golding from Britain First turn his back on Sadiq Khan onstage?  Someone on twitter went 'i see Paul Golding has turned to face Mecca for prayer, here begins Londonistan'

Why not?

'cuz Democracy.

Bristol has more than a single governing council, and only the centre of Bristol gets to vote for the Mayor, despite the fact that most people who live in Bristol and work in central Bristol are outside. It's mainly a business area and wealthy landowners who get to vote, or yuppies with high rents.

Some scumbags in shitty areas get to vote, but they're too focused on the dole queue.

Cameron called Afghanistan and Nigeria ''fantastically corrupt''. This is fair enough in itself however can a British person positively state this post expenses-gate without a tinge of hypocrisy, not to mention dodgy dossiers, a ''good day to bury bad news'' and a police cover-up (Hillsborough) which would shame 1920s Chicago?

I would have said that is quite meagre for a population approaching 7 million, 31, 372.

ftfy

and out of that 7, 000, 000, lets say 3, 000, 000 actually voted so, less than half.

But there are nearly 65 million people in Britain!

But 31, 000 or so voters voted for Britain first for Mayor of London.

Which out of whatever population London has got; Only 3, 000, 000 (if that) voted.

44,000/8,000,000 Londoners voted far-right (Britain First and BNP). That is barely anything really.

I'd count UKIP too, and they came 5th?! IDK what's more alarming, that or Lib Dems not coming 3rd.

Again, you're assuming 8, 000, 000 voted, it's all out of the voter turnout for this election, not the population of the city.
