Tiffani
What an incredible and ground-breaking band, one of my top favorites. These guys don't get the love they deserve in my circle. Screaming Night Hog, Jupiter's Child, Hey Lawdy Mama, Don't Step On The Grass Sam, The Pusher, etc...I mean Jesus, what a groove and a sound they had. Any big Steppenwolf fans here? Tiffani
No love for John Kay and Steppenwolf. Man, it's a cold, cold world...
Len Cnut
I think they're alright, first got into em off the Easy Rider soundtrack. Had an album here and here, listened to em a fair bit too for a few years, just not really something I've kept up a fan-dom with.
J Dog
I honestly never checked them out as much as I did the other 60's bands for some reason. I know Born to be Wild and Magic Carpet Ride and stuff. I love that Easy Rider

J Dog
Hey, I liked all of those. Thank you ma'am. I've heard that Don't Step on the Grass before. I might need to go back and check their stuff out. That's where I am with music now anyway. Not enough new stuff to excite me, so I've been going back and checking out people that I never got into or gave a chance before.
dalsh327
Steppenwolf, Mountain and Grand Funk Railroad were big back in the late 60s-early 70s but over time kind of just had the one or two radio hits on classic rock.
dontdamnmeuyi2015
Yeah. "Born to be Wild" one of the best rock songs ever. Love The Pusher too. They were good for their time. One of the best rock bands to come out of the 60's. At least my mom says that! lol
