Jovi had a 1 off show last night.   Guess what all the fans are bitching about- "his voice is shot".   SOS.   Our "heroes" are aging.  I saw Jovi twice last spring and had a blast.  It is what it is. Enjoy our bands while we got em.

Bon Jovi fans have been complaining about his voice for a good few years now. Just because you saw them twice and thought the show was great doesn't mean that it should disqualify how die hards feel  about the vocals of Jon Bon Jovi. Every night, 65.000 people think Axl Rose sounds wonderful yet when listening carefully it clearly shows how his voice is completely shot and the man just can't sing anymore. The way most singers' vocals have detoriated have nothing to do with age, but mostly with abuse.

What an absurd concept to think that a band playing a set list somewhere in Germany and again in New York for a DIFFERENT AUDIENCE is some how lazy and a rip off. Just because you can no watch or listen to every show doesn't mean the show is meant for anyone but the audience there viewing it live.

Yeah, how absurd for people to think that a show that's advertised as a special Appetite 30th anniversary exclusive club show would get a special kind of treatment. How absurd.

It cant be that bad in America ? Guess you guys get spoilt n maybe don't quite appreciate what a great event is, as you have so many?!

No, it is that bad in America. Everyone's always busy watching their personal space, checking their phones, chatting with their partner, discussing what groceries to bring home the next day and the list goes on. There's no fun in going to an American show unless it's a really small venue or you're able to block all that's going on around you, which is hard, you know, with people passing you by all the fucking time to pick up their umpteenth drink.

Only 5% of the brazilian population speaks english. I tried to buy tickets from CVC on their brand site, and the entire process was such a mess that i ended up making three purchases, even though their system told me that none of these were actually completed, i had to go to the physical store, and buy the tickets. So i get what you meant.

I know, I've been to Brazil. I fail to understand how they put non-speaking English people at tourist booths all over the country, and have no English speaking people working for ticketing agencies. It's rare to find someone who does speak English.

If it's a stadium tour, the norm is 3 days apart, due to sheer scale and put up, take down...
Where we at with dates...We all think Monday announcement, Wednesday Presale, Friday General sale?

Them being 3 days apart has nothing to do with the size of the stage. Bands touring with a stage the size of GnR usually have 2 of the same stages with them. When 1 stage is being used the other is being build up in a completely different location, which is why bands sometimes travel from 1 side of Europe to the other. Ireland could be today while Berlin could be 3 days later.

No way they are playing Madrid and leaving Barna out. I don't think so.

Why not? Bon Jovi played Barcelona and San Sebastian but left out Madrid in 2011. I'm sure there's other examples. It's all got to do with logistics, the stages will probably be shipped from Lisbon and what goes on behind the scenes and after the shows is planned differently than to what most people on here seem to think.

God I hope it will be Goffertpark. Kuip could work too, but I'd hate Ahoy Rotterdam or Gelredome in Arnhem. Nothing beats a festival like setting. Malieveld in The Hague would be sweet too...

Ahoy isn't so bad. It's rather small and I very much doubt Guns N' Roses doing an arena tour in Europe when they can do a stadium tour instead. Also doesn't make sense when it comes to the stage: It wouldn't fit in Ahoy and maybe not even in Gelredome. I've a feeling it'll be the Amsterdam Arena considering promoters need to put a certain amount of acts in the venue. If it's the arena it'll mean that I will skip it and travel to another country instead. I've seen loads of shows all over the world and in lots of stadiums but the Dutch Amsterdam Arena is easily the worst when it comes to acoustics and atmosphere. There just isn't any. Fingers crossed it'll be at Malieveld or Goffertpark. Terrible to get to but great atmosphere.

Aerosmith could easily get 40k and up to 50k in some European markets.

No, they can't. Aerosmith struggle to sell out the smaller arena's in Europe. They only play large crowds when playing festivals. Apart from that, they're mostly playing 10.000-20.000 people venues and rarely sell them out anymore.

So they were only selling the tickets for cash??

Not according to their own site. I could buy tickets for Aerosmith with a creditcard but had to pick them up by showing my passport and then they still asked for cash. These gnr tickets were sold by a different company which were never able to make te purchase work. Customer service was useless and when I tried calling them today they just wouldnt answer. Its apparantly a normal way here. Ive asked two people from Peru for help and both said its always rubbish here. I am missing out on this show because they cant get the ticket sales together.

  11. For the ones saying this show is sold out... It isnt. Tickets have been available for months. It was impossible to buy them though. Creditcard was never accepted online and at the booth they had no idea how to sell them to me. I am in Lima right now and couldnt get tickets despite them being available on the website. I am from Europe and have been down with food poisoning so Im sure I missed out on some options but buying tickets here for anything is a bitch.

uruguay, paraguay, bolivia, ecuador, venezuela...panama... they all covered it during nuGnR...

Because it's very, very hard to sell out venues like the ones they're selling out in the bigger countries. And insurance is very high over there, thus it's not worth the risk when they're not going to sell out or sell at least the amount of tickets they need to break even.

  13. A farewell tour will pretty much mean the same setlist with all the greatest hits in it. Like the one on the last 15 tours. Steven's refusal to mix it up is annoying, the entire band wants to shake things up and there's Mr. Tyler who refuses to sing anything different than what we've heard loads of times before. I get that you got to please an audience, but there's no reason why 80% of the set needs to stay the same.
