  1. shouldn't he be on a studio recording with guns instead of doing this? this is one of my problems with the members of gnr. gnr is just one more side project to them. they should be together recording, or at least writing.

Ridiculous, illogical statement. See bacardimayne's post. On a sidenote, Bumble is such a fucking good singer.

  2. Frustrated? Speak for yourself. If people are so frustrated, then maybe it's time to move on. Otherwise it's fair game to call them slow learners.

Not all of us have a particularly strong sense of entitlement from Axl and/or the band. Would I like a new album? Yes. Would I like to see a more diverse setlist? Yes. But just because there is no new album and no new songs on the set list doesn't mean I get all angry or "frustrated." I just accept what is, and enjoy the moment. Glass half full, man... glass half full.

I'm betting that you don't have any idea who I am nor would you be familiar with 90% of the members on this forum who have been here for a long as I have or longer. And the reason for that is that I, like so many others never post anymore or rarely even visit the forum, and the reason for that is because I lost a load of interest in the band and subsequently the message boards. Why? Because it's been the same old same old no new songs, no real new news aside from repetitive tour dates, no new leaks and nothing to really keep any amount of interest up.

Of course fans are going to get frustrated when their favorite band fails to release new music on anything that resembles a regular basis. Their last album didn't even have a music video and almost 4 years later there isn't any talk of a new one yet. It's not about having a sense of entitlement to new music or anything you would expect from a band, but it's certainly a fair expectation that they should be releasing new music or at least throwing a new song or long lost classic into the mix here and there, like when they pulled estranged and civil war out. But an old nostalgic tune from the Hay Days isn't going to be enough to keep the interest of many up and around.

Bottom line is that a lot of people are, have been and will be frustrated and moving on. Again, like myself and so many others but this is a subsequent result to very fair and understandable frustration that we have for our favorite band who released one album, a handful of singles, 0 music videos and 0 live DVDs in 20 fucking years.

Can I just say...quoted for truth? You perfectly described my feelings. As I've said in another thread, I ain't waiting on Axl. He can work on his own time. I'm just a fan. However, the flip side is that he looses respect/fan-support by following this current route. That is the reality of the situation. I don't chastise him for his actions, but I don't commend him either. These boards, in a way, reflect that. The excitement just isn't there anymore (in my opinion, that hit its peak in 2006). Guns N' Roses is stagnant.

  3. This is almost tooo obvious. I mean, they're going out of their fucking way to show that they had a rehrearsal last night and Axl was there. Fernando, Del and the GNR twitter have all posted it. And this latest pic is just...I mean they've got Axl right on the camera screen. It's like saying "LOOK AXL WAS AT REHEARSAL" and then with the message after "With only 9 shows left in the residency make sure you book your #vegas trip soon!" - I mean come on. If something doesn't happen tonight...

That's what I'd like to think, but I'm still putting my hopes in the back-burner. Who knows though.

  4. I don't want to criticise anything because I think you guys have done a great job but I find the red text in Attitude really hard to read.

No, need to feel critical, I've been meaning to change it. We'd wanted a red variant but apparently it didn't work, so the skinner went with that kind of pink...

I changed a couple things, any better?

A little bit, but I find graphically anything other than white or yellow against a dark background difficult. In everything else though an AWESOME job!

Agreed. Only white or yellow would work, imo.

  5. For those of you criticizing the interview for its lack of depth, I ask you to reconsider the type of medium that the interview took place in. Talk shows, by nature, are fluff (at least in the United States). If Axl were to go on, let's say, Charlie Rose, Pierce Morgan, or 60 Minutes then we would have a much different interview (something of substance). This interview, however, served its purpose (to promote the Vegas shows and to portray Axl as an outgoing and charismatic dude). Such objectives, in my opinion, were beautifully achieved.

  6. No, I'm not complaining I love him. I just mean the videos added to his success and popularity. He wouldn't have done as well without them and that's nothing to do with his talent.

There are so many great songs out there that would have done even better if they had a different video.

Yes, but Michael videos were awesome and well done. Gangnam Style video is like a parody of itself. It can be catchy and it's catchy, but it's not a good video at all.

They're similar in that they attract they effectively capture the mainstream public's attention. That was her point.

  7. It's funny when people are offended when someone says that BBF has made a profession out of covering Slash's riffs.

It has definitely added great benefit to his career, but he has not made a profession out of doing so. He had a career before Guns N' Roses, so don't ignore that.

Btw, Bumblefoot sings this better than Axl does nowadays... O.o

it's an expression. of course he had a carreer before GNR. But he is exploiting every littly bit of his GNR-connection. And he does all that by playing Slash's stuff. Not his own CD parts or his solo songs.

I understand that. I disagree with your notion that he exploits "every little bit of his GNR-connection". I don't think he does at all. If anyone does that, it's DJ.
