Yahahaa we're all still waiting but I want to share my take on the following: both Crue and GN'R had their last album released in 2008, now Guns gave us The General and Perhaps. Motley Crüe did the Dirt and another song in 2019 but now they came up with an absolute abomination of a song.. called Dogs of War anyone heard it yet? It's 90% AI recorded. Zero creativity and originality in it..  i must say I'D rather starve for another album for the rest of my life and have them quit instead of tarneshing their legacy with wat crue just did.

i like it.  It sounds a bit harder than past stuff.  On par with the General IMO, neither are game changers, but will make most fans happy that something is out.  Check our Sebastian bachs new one, its awesome

Agree 100%. I loved Perhaps when it leaked, but the Slash replacement solo ruins it for me. The school bell ruins Hardschool, in which case the leak overall was much better. I hate the cash grab reunion. Axl would have released a full CDII, with proper Buckethead/Finck versions of the songs, if it weren't for the reunion. All we got from that was an endless cash grab tour to milk the casuals.

So does he please the few who cared or the millions that wanted a re-union.  Pretty easy choice to me as no one was really digging NU GnR.  Its just facts, look at the concert ticket sales comparing NU and real gnr

There are two different things suggested/argued here.

    1. That GN'R doesn't release music while Taylor Swift does.

This is not factually correct. Because, even though GN'R has definitely released less music than Taylor Swift (and than most other artists in general) and the songs they have released in the recent years are rehashed old songs and not newly written, the fact remains that they have released something.

    2. (Which is what you're saying) That the music GN'R has released in the recent years has not been as popular and relevant as the music Taylor Swift has released.

Well, that goes without saying, and I don't think anyone has suggested otherwise. But that's a completely different matter. It seems that for some people (you being one of them?) it's not enough if GN'R releases music that they like for them to be satisfied, but it has to be music that puts GN'R on top of the world again. I don't understand this perspective - I only care about whether I enjoy the music or not. But anyway, I think people should come to terms with the fact that GN'R won't ever take the world by storm again, whatever they release.

you actually said it better than me.  I guess being old enough to witness them on top, and seeing all these other younger and older (stones, RHCP, green  day) for example keep releasing CDs that are produced correctly, is disheartening as a GnR fan.  Yes, factually, they are releasing a few songs, and I dont mind them.

You know she mostly writes her songs solely by herself. There's more songwriters on "Chinese Democracy" than any of her records. Now back to listening to some "Folklore"!

yea, you can tell he knows nothing about her.  There was a time where GnR could have been the biggest thing for years, they couldn't figure it out.  She has, and for some reason, people cant take it.  Its odd

    Amazing song and video.

brillaint. The minimalistic beats reminds me of sleaford mods, maybe they are fans.

GnR still doing their own thing, they’ve never made safe music. Fuck the haters, you sound like my parents 30 years ago. Listen to yourselves😊

Does anyone else see a creepy Epstein image at 2:54.?

The problem is, it's us "parents" that grew up with this band when they were huge.  This song wouldn't have been that good then, and is just ok now.

Yeah, I don't really understand the hate either. My biggest problem with the song is that it ends too soon, which I guess is a positive thing in some ways because I want more of it. In fact, I've tried to find more bands that make dark and epic music, preferably with an orchestra. But it's difficult to find anything that's quite like 'The General' and 'Monsters.'

But, in general, it seems like people tend to hate songs where Axl uses any kind of effects on his voice. 'Oh My God' got a lot of hate back in the day. 'Absurd' got a lot of hate. The same thing happened with 'The General.' Personally I don't mind the effects, but clearly many people hate it.

Its just another thing they didnt get right/  Its been such a hyped song, and its just ok.  Personally, Monsters is a way better song and he sounds much better singing it.  Both leaked on same day, and we get the lesser song

You're probably right about TB not being the only idiots doing this... BUT for this I can bring out the ago-old argument that shit like this, for some reason, only happens to GnR. Not to any other high profile rock band. Just GnR. Every other band I've purchased music from in the past years, be it vinyl or cd, does not have this problem. But GnR does. It's always something with them.

Because they choose to do it.  There is no logical reason to say otherwise
