Yes, usually smaller bands do, or Scorpions. Bon Jovi change up to 7 songs a night, Magpie Salute (ex Black Crowes) change entire 40 songs every night, Smashing Pumpkins also rumble up, Aerosmith change songs from concert to concert, Foo Fighters usually change songs or song order..., RHCP, U2, Green Day... I really can't think of a band that is as boring and as predictable as this ultra silly line up.

There are 2 things that come to my mind.

    a) the 'baggage' are so untalented they are not capable of learning more songs.

    b) Ax is to lazy to sch and he can't sing any others

I like the line up and am grateful to have Slash and Duff back but Slash's altering the solos and Axl's vocals have been a real let down over the last year. Last night was a pretty good show all the way around and one of the best of 2017 IMO. As far as the band being incapable of learning different songs, I don't think anyone truly believes that. Although option B Is far more likely. I would go with lazy as opposed to not being able to sing other songs. If he can pull off Coma, he can surely do Pretty Tied Up or Bad Obsession.

Why would anyone want that? More people want to hear This I Love than Pretty Tied Up.

I for one would like more covers and extended jams. They should cut out all of the Illusion songs so that it can free up time to add more cock rock covers from AC/DC and Van Halen. Slash should extend the endings for November Rain and Sweet Child O' Mine with more shredding. An extra jam during Knockin on Heaven's Door would really hit the spot.

I guess we will see where It goes when the tour Is extended Into 2018. They plan to shake up the setlist by having a 3 hr show with a five song setlist and a guitar solo. The show will consist of 30 minute versions of KOHD, Estranged, NR, BHS, guitar solo and PC. Ticket prices will also be a minimum of $300 as Axl has guaranteed to rasp one line per song.

On a side note, Axl sounded decent last night and made a serious effort. I am not sure how the show was tonight as I have yet to watch any video's, going to do that now.

Idk why GNR fans think it is unusual for a band to play the same set or close to it for entire and multiple tours. Yeah, sure, GNR changed it up in the 90s, but that was unusual for that era as well. 90% of bands play the same show for each tour. This is still part of the NITL tour, and there's no new music to promote. Obviously they're going to play the same set for most it.

Slash +MKC played mostly the same set each tour. Duff with Loaded played the same songs unless there was a new album out. That's how it works for most bands. That's how it has worked for all of these guys for 25 years.

Most bands do stick to a similar set list night after night and playing the hits Is a must, but they have so many great songs on the Illusion albums that are not being played. After three nights In the same venue how difficult Is It really to remove This I Love or Black Hole Sun and play Pretty Tied Up? I don't think the fans are asking to much, just one song here and there.

He told the same on the last show in South America (La Plata)...”I don’t know when we’ll see you again, I hope soon..”

I would think that "I hope soon" means Axl Isn't ready to throw In the towel just yet. With all of the guys now In their 50's I would think we will probably get one more big tour before It Is officially over, hopefully with the five original members and a new album. But, I wouldn't hold my breath on the last two.

It's the building bricks...I have seen problems inside MSG before with other live streams...
Wifi might be bad...if people were using data might be better but problem runs up a lot streaming an entire 3 hr gig !

Got you, makes sense now. Wasn't actually thinking of the construction of the building.

Same and I have high speed, so don't worry, connections are just bad in MSG it would seem...Same the other nights...

Thanks for the update, I also have high speed and do not usually have buffering on anything else. Very strange that a big area like NYC would have bad internet. There should be plenty of videos as the night progresses as usual.

I'm blown away... I had already lost hope to see a decent performance of Axl again, but in all the videos from this show I watched you can clearly see that he's trying especially hard to deliver a good vocal performance and he's really nailing it. I never thought I would this kind of stuff again! Thank you Axl.

The guy Is Impossible to figure out and maybe he likes It that way. It's crazy that he can go for a half of a year with little to no rasp and than have a show like last night. Hopefully we get a repeat performance tonight.

Didn't realise you'll be there tonight - awesome! You'll have a great time. :headbang: Looking forward to your report.  Hey, if nothing else, Slash always delivers, you can count on that.

Thank you, It Is always a pleasure being here with members such as yourself. It should be a fun show and It looks like Angus Is In town. The people In attendance may end up getting a surprise appearance.

  9. Just went back and listened to November Rain In full for the first time and I didn't have to turn It off after 10-15 seconds. Axl sounded decent and Slashes solos were good. That Is a major Improvement considering NR Is generally one of the worst vocally performed songs In the set. Actually looking forward to the show tonight for the first time In a long time.

I notice that too..It’s a good thing because NR without rasp isn’t NR to me. Also in PC and YCBM he’s trying to bring some rasp too.

You are correct, without rasp on certain songs such as November Rain, second part of Estranged, You could Be Mine and Paradise City, they sound awful and I find It difficult to make It through more than 10 seconds of the song. I am grateful that he made an honest effort tonight.

Is it just me or has Axl gained like 10 pounds and running far less all of a sudden, just in last month? He really was moving a lot July - Sep !
Just a thought that came to mind....

Was thinking the same thing. The stream showed a close up at the end of Jungle and Axl looks like he put on every pound he previously lost.  I can only guess that he likes to drink and Is doing plenty of it.

Pretty safe to say that we would all LOVE to be there, but each show's thread seems to get smaller and smaller.

I think people tune In when a new leg of the tour starts In hopes that there are set list changes along with Axl's voice and Slashes solo's. Axl has been extremely underwhelming, although the last show sounded decent and Slash now Improvises on solos In Estranged and November Rain when he he should be trying to keep those sacred solos as close to the record as possible. I guess we will see how they sound tonight.

I am very happy that i was able to see the band twice last year in pittsburgh and this year on my birthday in hershey they sounded great both shows. Does Axl sound like he did in the 90s no, but he wasnt horrible. he has such a unique voice and he is in his mid fiftys, do any of you think robert plant sounds like he did back in the 70s with Zep hell no.

I have followed or watched clips of every show over the past 1 1/2 years , as many here have and IMO the Pittsburgh show Is In the top 2 shows of this tour.

i would really like to know when and why the music industry thought they could fuck the fan by increasing ticket prices to the price they are now. I routinely see comments on band forums from north american fans who reminince when they saw bands like van halen and maiden in mid 80's in their prime and only paid less than $10.00 for a ticket probably between 3 to 5 bucks and i think those prices were normal. But how the fuck promoters can justify prices being what they are and thats not including VIP pricing. My thoughts are bands wernt getting ripped off back then in terms of pricing  and the economy in some countries hasn't vastly changed. So how did pricing end up the way it has?

At one time these bands made large profits selling albums, that Is certainly not the case today. Now It Is merchandise and tickets. Just my opinion.
