When people complained and said, Axl's full-on Mickey tonight, would they be talking about Mickey Rourke or Mickey Mouse?
-
Mickey Rourke actually hit on my girlfriend in New York. He was 30 years older, but his elegant appearance is made to deceive.
Now, should Axl go through the same procedure and become the new king of the Manhatten night scene?
Mickey did one hell of a job as the Masked Singer. He threw away his head, shone in glory.

I wrote a similar piece a couple of days ago. Was deleted by mods very quickly.
Totally agree.

In these terrible times, it's beyond forgiveable if GnR don't want to do a tiny effort for the fans.
Don't blame the record company. I simple call would be enough. They would agree to give away a song or two in these circumstances.
If GnR don't do Anything extraordinary in these extraordinary times, I will never respect them again.

I don't care about the album date. What pusses me off is the ridiculous silence.
The fans are the enemies. Terrible ideology.

Mojo is the most pathetic person ever associated with any band.

Soul Monster with vocals leaked today, I think

I have only encountered one sick fuck in the GnR-world, Mojo.
That guy should be taken to a camp somewhere.

Fantastic albums. Musically, lyrically and even the cover art.

Confirmation: this tour is just a continuation of NITL. Same set, same clothes, different haircut.

Never care to post anymore, but gotta say this:
Chinese Democracy (the song) totally rocks here. The released version is SHIT SHIT SHIT. Never liked it. Now I can finally hear the real song.
This is beyond baffling. How is it possible to fuck it up like this....??????

State of Grace is better. Perhaps has a catchy verse, but no real chorus. I dont like those multi-layered screams that infest almost every CD era song.

Franchise dead blah blah blah.
Grunge killed GnR blah blah blah.
Listen. Quality speaks for itself. Another album like AFD or UYI would get popular whatever the circumstances.
Having said that, such an album is very unlikely as far as I am concerned.

And that it's coming within a couple of months

Foto Fighters played them the right way...

Guess I was right about Fortus hinting towards something imminent...
Anyway, this is ACDC, I think

That wouldn't make sense though. I think it is possible to have a single released alongside a studio album announcement (perhaps January), but otherwise, i would not expect to hear a new song until we are certain of a release date and within a couple of months of it.
In the context of the conversation and the "faster than you think" remark, I think ONE NEW SONG by the end of 2019 doesn't fit in.

I think they meant a new song this year

Seriously. There is no sane explanation as to why GnR can't just throw something new into their set. It is ridiculous.
I am not saying they should "waste" a "big gun". But come on. Just play a "Shotgun Blues" type filler.
They could easily write a new Shadow. Straight forward. Easy.
Their refusal is an insult to all of us.

Some of us have followed this circus closely for 15 years.
Verdict:
Slash's comments are truly worrying.
If they decided to start the new album process this fall, the album would be out for Christmas 2020 at the earliest.
And there is no indication that this is the case.
Our best chance of getting anything sooner, is if Axl releases CDII. But that was due out in 2010, so I guess we can't even begin to fathom how "complicated" this shit is.
Axl always hides behind the fact that all the complications surrounding GNR are 10000000x worse than any other band, but by every logic such a world view only falls back on himself.
I have no doubts whatsoever, that Axl's grudge with the rec company could be a "small" thing like their refusal to pay for a big music video. And because of some little detail like this, they have been in a stand off since 2009.
The other possibility, of course, is that there are no issues with the record company at all, and that this much used explanation is just a convenient excuse used by fans to intentionally/unintentionally hide the sad truth.

Timeline wise it doesn’t even make sense. No announcement would come prior to all tour dates being finished, and not while Slash is out promoting his other band. Best bet even if they were holding an announcement is it would come around the first of the year
According to these guys, it has been finished incl. art work for months...
What Song Would You Like Guns N' Roses To Open With?

I mean Elton John. Only Axl on his piano. With fireworks.
Imagine, after the barrel intro with the shooting, the light turn off. People start to cheer. The atmosphere is electric.
The the piano with Axl sat at the stool, rises from within the scene and he starts playing Candle in the wind.
He could alter between the original and the England's rose version.
