I saw him two weeks ago in Arnhem. It was one of the best shows I've ever been too. You'll have a great time.
-
I'd like to add a performance that I think that illustrates the greatness of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. I was just watching the DVD from Hammersmith and this one really stood out:
The Hammersmith DVD is GREAT
Absolutely, amazing show.
One of my favourite songs ever:
-
Bat out of Hell 3 was awesome.
They should use "If It Ain't Broke Break It". I love that song.
-
I'm a huge U2 fan, but "Pop" was a really bad album. Discothèque is probably the worst U2 song ever.

Yeah, the Mercy Seat is one of my favourite songs ever. Especially the live versions. I love how the intensity builds up towards the end. There's also a great version of this song on the "The road to God knows where" DVD. Johnny Cash did a pretty cool cover of this song too.
The ship song, the weeping song, Tupelo, Deanna, He has so many amazing songs.
From his later work I love "There She Goes, My Beautiful World". I love the lyrics:
John Willmot penned his poetry
riddled with the pox
Nabakov wrote on index cards,
at a lectem, in his socks
St. John of the Cross did his best stuff
imprisoned in a box
And JohnnyThunders was half alive
when he wrote Chinese Rocks
Well, me, I'm lying here, with nothing in my ears
Me, I'm lying here, with nothing in my ears
Me, I'm lying here, for what seems years
I'm just lying on my bed with nothing in my head
Send that stuff on down to me
Send that stuff on down to me
Send that stuff on down to me
Send that stuff on down to me
There she goes, my beautiful world
There she goes, my beautiful world
There she goes, my beautiful world
There she goes again
And the background singers sound great in that song:
-
Man, I love Nick Cave. He is such an awesome songwriter, and a great live performer too.
This is one of his most beautifull songs, although I prefer Nobody's baby now

No problem man.
I don't even know why I knew this, since that line isn't even in the song. But for some reason this was the first song I thought of and the clip matched your description.

More than words - Extreme

I wanted to see Babyshambles twice at Pukkelpop festivals, and both times they didn't show up. So that's why I'm not to keen on Pete.
I'm not a really big fan or anything, but they have some cool songs. I would love to see the Libertines at some festival this summer.

Great cover.
What songs does Chris play during his solo tour? Will it be a mix of SG, AS and his solo stuff?
Can't wait to see him at Graspop
-
Yeah, I hate those emo posers.

I'm going to see him July 8 on Bospop festival
-
Awesome, another album to look forward too.
I loved U2 in the 80s. The albums from the 90s weren's really my thing, but the last two albums were great.

I will probably go and see De Heideroosjes in the Fenix next month.
Heideroosjes!
I forgot all about them. May 18th in Vera, Groningen!
Are they any good live? Never saw them before.
They're amazing live! They're the kind of band where you can just see that there's over 15 years of on-stage experience night after night standing right there. Everything just fits and the crowds and atmosphere are just crazy. It's a very wild but positive atmosphere. I love it! Last time I saw them was in 2005 on the SINema tour. Sunsation festival in Middelstum. It was a really great gig and they just connect amazingly with the audience. You'll have a blast man!
You were absolutely right. Heideroosjes were awesome.
And now VR will play Graspop on sunday, I'll probably go three days now. So I can add VR, Ozzy and Iron Maiden to my list.
-
Great album, but those songs are even better live. Especially Mary's Place and Waiting on a sunny day rocked when I saw them live.
-
That song has one of the best videos ever made. It's brilliant.
The song is pretty cool too. Very catchy.

Just got my ticket for Bospop (John Fogerty, Gary Moore, Paul Rodgers). Great line-up this year .
I was thinking about that one too! Mostly because of Joe Cocker, Gary More and Paul Rogers. Wouldn't mind John Fogerty either (especially when he plays a lot of CCR). But it's on the other end of the country AND the Rolling Stones are coming back to The Netherlands this year as well (most likely june 7th, Nijmegen). So I need money for that. And I want to have some backup money for when either GnR or Metallica will also visit Holland this year. Bospop just isn't high enough on the priority list.
Well, the distance is no problem for me. I'm there in half an hour.
I'm only going on sunday, so I won't see Joe Cocker. But John Fogerty and Gary Moore are more than enough reason for me to go.
Metallica will play on Rock Werchter. I'm not sure if I'll go there. Depend on the line-up of other festivals.
And I also bought my ticket for De Heideroosjes this friday
I bought their new album Chapter Eight: The Golden State last week. Inside is a coupon that you can take to a concert and get a free DVD. But only at their concerts.
Great album by the way! I'd really recommend it! I'm seeing Heideroosjes on may 18th in Vera in Groningen. Have you seen them before? They're a fantastic live band!
I want to see 'tallica real bad too. But I'm still hoping they'll do a Dutch show. Daytickets for a good festival I'd also buy for them. But werchter is just too far, same as bospop. But for Fogerty and Moore I do envy you man!
I've never seen Heideroosjes before, and I don't have any of their albums. But I know some of their songs and they're pretty cool.
And I have the same problem with Arrow Classic Rock festival. I would love to go there, but it's really far for me. I'm glad I can at least see Aerosmith at Graspop. I would also love to go to Velvet Revolver at Fields of Rock, but that's also far. I'm hoping they will play at a Belgium festival too (Pukkelpop or Graspop).
And there will be a Pinkpop classic festival this year, with only bands who have performed at Pinkpop in the past. Status Quo will probably be a headliner. Could also be a cool festival.

No, I don't have a bootleg yet, but I will let you know if I find one.
And thanks for the pictures, some great memories
And I was shown on the big screen during Another Brick In The Wall
