I never really cared for them, but after seeing them live I totally changed my mind. They're awesome. One of the best live bands out there.

Not really my taste, but they put on a great live show. Especially with Joey Jordinson on drums.

Saw him last sunday at Graspop. Didn't really know what to expect, but I was really surprised. The man still got it. Awesome show, except for the boring 10 minute solo from Zakk Wylde (who was great though for the rest of the show).

Elan Sara DeFan is a Mexican singer/songwriter. She has been influenced by many great artists like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Beatles, Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin. She was the first female Latin American artist to begin her career with an album completely in English. On her debut album she had guest stars like Slash and David Immergluck from the Counting Crows. "Elan could very well end up being the female equivalent of Neil Young."

Where Should I Start?

Street Child is one of my favourite albums ever made. It's also her most versatile album. From the poppy "Midnight", the emotional ballad "Time", the catchy "They Came To The City" to the absolute highlight of the album "Street Child" (with one of Slash's best solos).

I never really listened to them before I saw them at Pinkpop. But they were definately one of the best live bands I've ever seen. They have an amazing live show.
