  1. Anyway, some people seem to be expecting a whole lot more from these interviews than they should IMO. Unless they are promoting a new, soon-to-be-released record and doing an interview where Axl is sitting alongside Slash like he did with Duff in 2016, where you could expect them touching all these delicate matters of the past etc., there is no way anything really huge will be unveiled in these Slash interviews, just tidbits here and there among all those "guitar is great" stunts.

Like I’ve said before, I wouldn’t really expect anything else, and to me, it’s fine for now. They’re still touring.

  2. All in all, I think it’s fine. If he didn’t want any GNR questions, he would have had to say so at the beginning, which he didn’t. On the other hand, it would have been weird to completely rule it out, as he knows people are eager to learn some new stuff – after all, we still don’t know very much, despite the 3-year touring.
I say we’ll see next year. Slash may be touring intermittently, but unless Guns embark on yet another leg, there should be time to seriously start working with the new material, whatever there may be. I just hope Axl won’t fully commit to Angus, wrecking his neck and wasting time that could be devoted to his own band. A guest performance would be awesome, obviously.
You can’t expect Slash to undermine what they’ve achieved so far.

I am registered there.  I’ve posted once or twice.  It’s a very strange place. Very little activity, but the activity that exists is condescending.  Very holier than thou as you’d expect from a cult leader

Are we talking about HTGTH here? Cause this sounds like my deja vu from the time I was registered there!

  4. As for the hoarders waiting for this stuff to gain even more value – they might have waited a tad too long. Given the mood going around recently regarding the pseudo-legal internet stuff as well as the merchandize prices (just look at the reactions here – this wouldn’t have happened years ago), they might have missed the boat.

But as George Carlin would say: Good, fuck ‘em!

  6. I personally don’t believe in this version where Brian would write lyrics and sing on the album and then Axl would tour it. Not only would it be unfair towards the fans, but it would be really weird. I mean, in 2016 it was completely different; they just wanted to finish what had been started. But this? I highly doubt the tickets would sell anywhere near as well as they pretty much did in 16. Lot of fans would complain, and they would be right to do so.

Well, who knows. They are really damn private about this, as usual.

Why? You think we will hear new GNR music? Haha...this was the best chance to hear Axl in new songs....that is my biggest dissapointment....but I can understand having Brian back. I hope everything goes well with them.

And for Axl touring with them...I don't think so. Fans will not love having Brian back and see Axl on tour.

I am solely speaking from the point of view that I would rather see Axl devote his time to – and save his vocal chords for – his own band.
