I really hope Duff and Slash do some serious rework on Axl's stuff. I can see good potential for Hard School, but right now it's just random and sounding suuuper dated.

I also hope they mix it with new material from Slash and Duff.

I would love to have as final product an album more like Appetite and far away from the CD over produced dramatic megalomania.

Things are going so well that people are making up stuff only so they have anything to say.

Just remember that Beta used to work for Stephanie before she started working for Axl.

So I think it has more to do with her personal problems with Stephanie than supposedly taking Axl's side on his fight with Stephanie.

Either way it's totally ridiculous, Susan has nothing to do with any of that and seems like a genuinely nice person.

I’m on this message board game since it started really. If you think that board is an arse licking thing now, you missed the period around when Chinese was released. It was ridiculous, you couldn’t say anything less than “Axl Rose is GNR”. Now, if you were not blocked by then, the admin just pretends that there’s space for personal opinions, because now apparently Axl is more of a democratic guy and the reunion is on.

I still go there sometimes and post (my username is different), but I only came back there after a loooong hiatus, when the reunion happened, just because I couldn’t say that CD is a good album and the band is much better without the original members.

I'm not a big fan of all of the covers, I wish they played only GNR tunes.  So much great stuff on the Illusions to choose from compared to the cover songs.  However, this talk of never changing the setlist is interesting.  I'm not a huge concert goer, try to go to 1 or 2 a year plus every GNR show in my area.  I saw Korn and AIC this summer, both bands play the same set every single night and only play for 1 1/2 hours each.  Guns plays for 3 hours.  I'm a big AIC fan and they have the catalog to play for much longer.....it's a bit disappointing that most of these bands play such short sets every night.  It also seems like not changing the setlist is the norm among most bands.  Why should GNR be criticized for something that most bands are doing.

 

Because we are die hard fans plus they got back together 3 years ago and we haven’t heard some of the songs being played live as they deserve (with Slash and Duff) in twenty something years.

Axl seemed to be in great spirits and having fun! That’s cool.

We all know they’ve always played covers, even in the 90s, but now it just frustrates me because we finally have Slash and Duff back and they could play so many of their amazing songs! BHS is just a sad joke, it’s the worst imo.

They like playing these songs. We don’t like them, so too bad for us. I think it’s that simple, there’s no big meaning behind it.
