  1. If your receiver has HDMI inputs you can run it through there. Most modern receivers do have them. Apple TV will stream most things for you if your receiver doesn't have them. You could always leave an HDMI cord hanging from the TV too, if you don't want to go back there. The wall mount should extend so you have access to the input panel.

Are you trying to not win shitposter of the year 2 years in a row?

It's still early. I'm building up the shitposts for a full on shit assault closer to award time. Nobody remembers the beginning of the year.

  3. Myles isn't "technically" a bad singer though, I don't care for his voice but you can't seriously compare his vocal ability to DJ's on the guitar, or lack thereof.

I think it's pretty funny that "Axl fans" (I mean people who enjoy the sound of Axl's voice, myself included) hate Myles' voice and call it nasally and whiny...the very things people say about Axl, or did when he used to sound good at least.

I can (and will) compare his ability to sound like absolute shit to DJ's, and in that they are equal. I have 0 fucks to give about the technicality behind it, shit is shit. In fact, it's a worse thing to be technically adept and still manage to sound so fucking awful than it is to sound awful because you can't help yourself.

Bucket compared to Bumble is another example of that, even if I'm a fan of Bumble he is capable of making it sound horrid and he has perfect pitch and supreme technical ability. Music about more then that and Kennedy has commited horrid crimes with his vocals and humanity will bare the scars of his artistic expression for years to come.

DJ is on a different level. No one has ever made a guitar sound that horrid in decades.

DJ has at least turned sucking into an art form and does it with such grace and ignorant bliss that it fits him. He's successfully incorporated the suck into every fibre of his being. Myles is the idiot that has concentrated all of his suck into one big suckbomb that explodes whenever he walks onto the stage, without incorporating it into the rest of his life. DJ knows that if you have no choice but to suck, you need to embrace that shit and Myles hasn't figured that out yet. Another reason DJ wins.

  5. Seriously though, you're pitting the worst (by far) rock frontman ever in the history of anything against his guitar doppelganger. I think vocals are a much bigger part of a band than guitarists that, for the most part, are easily interchangeable; so I have to vote DJ as less worst because he's simply not as important to the bands that he is in. Doesn't stop DJ from being the worst he is at what he does though.

  6. The band never broke up though. As a member left a new member replaced them. There was no point when there was no band at all.

That's the thing that bugs me about people saying Axl shouldn't have the GnR name.... There was never a point when everyone left at once. They all left gradually and got replaced. At what point should Axl have said "We're done". People say when Slash left, but I don't think Slash was a big influence of GnR.... I think Izzy was the most influential member besides Axl, would you rather GnR have broken up in 1991?

I always viewed GnR as Axl's band... Even before the new band. Axl started the band, Axl was the one that wrote most the songs, and Axl was the bad guy who made GnR dangerous.

Well of course you would, because thats what Axl fans think. Sorry, but that was never true. Axl was not the singular one that made GNR dangerous. They were all dangerous in their own way. Slash and Duff showing up drunk to the AMA awards and cursing on live television being one example that springs to mind. And the only reason everyone left gradually until Axl was the only one was because Axl was a dictator that made it impossible to be part of a band. Everyone left Guns N Roses, thus the band broke up, and became the Axl Rose band.

 Getting drunk and swearing like an asshat is dangerous now? I must be one of the most dangerous people on the planet.

I know a lot of drunk people... They must be dangerous too!

Maybe we can get a bunch of drunks together and start a band. It must be dangerous when they're all on stage falling down drunk, they might sprain their ankle!

Forget the people who cause riots and jump into the audience to beat people, they're wimps. They're not going to cause any harm, they might get the venue destroyed or get a few people killed and injured, but that's NOTHING compared to a sprained ankle by a band member.

Have you guys picked out your wedding china yet?

Clearly you don't understand the fucking danger you're in talking shit to us like that. Look at that, I'm swearing like a motherfucking sailor. Fucking dangerous!

  7. I was convinced the trend in 2014/2015 was hating on Bieber, Kanye and Taylor :shrugs:

I saw an interview and somebody was talking about Taylor and said that she is most friendly and the hardest working musician that they've ever worked with. That she not only writes or co-writes her songs (lyrics and music) but t hat she is involved in ever aspect of her career - from stage set-up to financial contracts. In a world full of manufactured pop music, Taylor is the exact opposite of what most of us hate and make fun. She isn't just a cute character with decent voice that the Industry decided to get behind and make popular. She is out there grinding it out in every aspect of her career.

But because she writes pop-country type songs, and the media covers her every move ........then those of us who are edgy and cool, we must hate her!!!!!

I don't care if she writes all of her songs and even designs her own CD artwork manually: I don't like her music nor her signing and anything about her. I don't hate her. I don't spend time on the Internet talking about her. I just simply don't care.

I know a lot of musicians and singers I really love and am drawned to them that also write, sing and even play their own material. I don't see these things as extraordinaire since my favorites artists are mostly like tht :)

I couldn't name you one Taylor Swift song. Not my cup of tea. But I admire any young artist that controls their career, rather than those that are just figure heads in the industry machine. I have tons of respect for her in that regard. I also haven't seen her in the news for being a druggie, getting drunk drivings, pissing on paintings in restaurants, or being a douche to her fans - like we see from a kid like Bieber. And she isn't pulling the arrogant actions of a Kayne and Kim. I'm not sure how people can actually dislike Taylor Swift, she seems to be a great example of what we want young artists to be like. Is she over exposed? Probably, but that's not her fault.

    To each their own, though.

I just think the world needs more love and positivity - and less anger, hatred and negativity. At the end of the day, these guys are just singers. Hating a band or a singer......not something I've really every understood.

who ever the fuck hates axl for "ruining the band" need to go read some fucking books lol

    fucking posers

    He said books, not drivel.

    Great read.

    Not really.

You have this weird thing about hating anything related to Slash, so I'm surprised you took the time to even read it.

But props to you for giving it a fair chance. I'm sure you read the entire book, with an open mind, and then came to your conclusion after finishing it.

I'm not really a Slash fan, but I enjoyed the book. It was interesting to see his version of what happened with my favorite band of all time.

I also just read Duff's book. Another great read in terms of books about rock stars.

False. I read 2 chapters before I decided that if I wanted to read 3rd grade fiction I'd grab myself a choose your own adventure.Well at least you went in with an open-mind and gave it a fair shot.

With as much as you hate Slash, I'm proud that you gave it two chapters.

I don't hate anything on Earth, much less a musician.

Being gang-raped in prison by six burly dudes, who take turns sodomizing you for eight hours straight? And they want to keep their glory hole clean, so each time they "finish", they move from the back door to your mouth and make you swallow their special sauce. For eight hours straight. All while doing it, they make you listen to Myles Kennedy music for the entire time.

That wouldn't evoke the "hate" emotion from you?

Did I say that I was incapable of hate anywhere? Fortunately I haven't been in that situation so I don't have anybody to hate for it.
