  1. I had a dream last night, I was in Argentina and went to Slash's show, when the show started I saw Axl and Izzy together and I cried, then i saw Slash and Duff, all of them together on one stage, I dint see Steven lol, It was just a dream but man it was amazing, but when they were going to start Sweet Child, Ashba came out of nowhere and started to mess up, the crowd was booing him, I know it will never happen in real life, but really if those 5 guys come together and even just do ONE SHOW, it will be the best thing in this world, I wish my dream never ended cause really man it was amazing

The best thing in this world for you would be to see Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Ashba???
  2. WHATS FIJI PHIL DOING IN THE RAW ZONE MAGGLE

Can you imagine the explosion on the IWC if Vince and Reigns legit "Montreal screwjob" the title from him at Mania?

Who would have the guts to "legit" pull anything on Brock Lesnar? (Aside from Cain Velasquez and Overeem on roids)

Surely Punk could face him because it doesn't even matter who Punk fights, he's going to get his ass kicked just as hard.

  3. Because toots, they realize that it's such a stupid rumor that it doesn't warrant a response of any kind. They can't find it in themselves to believe that someone would be gullible enough to believe it.

Well, sweet-meat, I think it's not that hard to go on Twitter and just deny it. It takes less time to do that than blow one's nose. This has thrown some fans into a frenzy and I guarantee there are going to be a few poor souls that dump a ton of cash and headache to get there only to be seemingly let down. And why post a video of GNR in Argentina days after this rumor got some wings? I think there's plenty of coincidental incidents that have fueled this speculation that would lead people to believe this might be happening.

20 seconds on Twitter, that's all it takes. It could come from Jarmo or Duff or Del.

I feel bad for the few idiots who do actually travel across the world for this. Or, they might actually wind up looking like geniuses if it does indeed happen.

Well chunkytits, I don't feel sorry for anybody that would be stupid enough to fly across the world to see Axl Rose at a Slash show. In fact, I hope Darwinism kicks in and the plane crashes so these people get no chance to breed. If Axl's moron management had done anything to start this rumor, they might have a reason to clarify it for the 25 people stupid enough to believe it. Since they didn't and there is absolutely no evidence that they even know about this joke, they don't owe anybody anything.

Now we're getting somewhere with the sweet-talk, Furry Meatballs. I like you're style.

I do feel sorry for those ass-holes. There's just too many coincidences to think this 'rumor' is false.

What are you doing Saturday night? I love you're avatar. Wanna throw down some cold one's and have a full blown bromance in my hot tub?

You have a hot tub, whiskerbiscuit? I'll be there.

  5. I fucking hate the american idol era. I miss the good ol days when sloppy is part of the good show. Not everything has to be perfect.

Slash was sloppy, Axl wasn't even there for some parts of the songs.. but it was a good show, something you can enjoy over n over. It's not a performance of American Idol, you know, those you can hardly watch only one time.

    Exactly.

Unfortunately there are a few dickweeds here that do nothing but bash on everything that Slash does. It is weird to see adults act this way, but these guys are hardcore and will defend their mighty Axl at all costs. Hardcore to the core. Smh.

Nice to see you're showing your true class and calling people "dickweeds" just because their difference of opinion hurts your little feelings.
That's rich coming from the kid who insults people in 83% of his posts and openly begged for the shtposter of the year award. Funny, I just read a post where you were bashing people who liked Slash's last album. Something about pig vomit and such.

Lol, you take the internet and rock forums way too seriously if you think that opinions from complete strangers actually hurt people's feelings. Nothing you have ever said has hurt my feelings. I think you are a joke that tries way too hard to be clever. What kind of person tries to create a character for a rock forum?

Now you better call me a bunch of names and then get back to insulting slash and everything he does and insulting all Slash fans. You are hardcore!!!

No one here is bashing Slash. People here know what he's capable of which is much more then how he played in the Ritz '88.

Just because you're a fan, doesn't mean you can't be objective. Slash was sloppy that night. This is a fact. I still like the show and it doesn't ruin it for me, but it wasn't one of the best Guns shows ever. Not even of that year imo.

Honestly, I think some people are biased cause we have a good quality video of it. :shrugs:

A couple people are bashing Slash, so you are wrong about that. But on this forum that's to be expected.

But anyway, more importantly, can you point us in the direction of shows that GnR were better than they were at this show. You said shows from the same year, can you please give examples. Thanks In advance.

    Tl;dr

  7. One way or the other, people's heads are gonna explode on 03/07/2015.

You mind locking this bullshit thread? It´s been confirmed false! If tomorrow Axl says otherwise on his twitter then we can start a new thread to discuss the one night stand Axl and Slash are going to have.

Who has it been 'confirmed' false by? A forum admin here? With all due respect... lol.

Unless AXL ROSE or GNR management (lol) come out publicly on Twitter or Facebook or wherever and say AXL WILL NOT BE UNITING WITH SLASH THIS WEEK, then anything's possible. I won't be surprised either way. What give this rumor some wings to me is, if this is just a PR stunt to get more folks out to see Slash's show... and if Axl hates Slash so much... why would he let the speculation benefit Slash? By not saying anything about it, denying it, it's only fueling the speculation. Axl certainly knows what's going on and the little frenzy surrounding this. He's probably reading this thread. So why not kill it if it weren't true?

That's perplexing, to say the least.

And, think about it, if Axl agreed to join Slash's band for a few songs... especially with Duff and Gilby on-stage, ala a little GNR reunion, and wanted to keep it low-key just to test the waters, they probably want it to stay under wraps. So even if the admin's here or anywhere else have some kind of connection with TB (lol), they're not going to confirm it's true.

If it's not happening, Axl should put an end to the speculation and post something on Twitter or Facebook. If he doesn't, it's only going to benefit the turnout for Slash's shows... and why would Axl want to do that if his disdain for Slash is so strong?

Thing is 99% of Axl's tweets would be about denying a reunion if he had to respond to every rumour about one.

That's not true. This is the first reunion 'rumor' that has ever gotten any sort of legs to it. There's so many little 'hints' being passed around that it wouldn't surprise me at all if it happened. I beg of you to show me another reunion thread that claims the Axl will be joining Slash. The fact is, Axl hardly tweets about ANYTHING. This rumor has gotten some serious legs to it now and he should address it if it were false.

It's not like him NOT to address something like this.

    That's what makes it suspicious.

2012 HOF, Download 2006, just after ChiDem came out (rumours of joint Van Halen/GNR reunion)...

2012 HOF was indeed shot down by Axl. He came out and said he wasn't going to attend, and never had any intentions of doing so. Download 2006 was pure speculation because Axl and Slash were going to be playing the same event. TB shot that rumor down, too. Rumors of a joint Van Halen/GNR reunion is absurd. I've been around these forums since forums for GNR existed and never heard such a rumor. Internet searches pull up nothing and if it was mentioned, it was so ridiculous that nobody paid any attention to it.

    Try again.

 Are people unable to read the giant [FALSE] tag in the title of the thread or are they simply incapable of understanding what it means?

Are you really willing to believe some average Joe forum admin's "source"? Even if it were a legitimate source, why doesn't that source come out and confirm this to be false? Or do they want to keep it under wraps as much as possible and downplay this rumor? Unless it comes out of Axl's mouth, I wouldn't believe anything, buddy.

 it was some "Joe forum admin" that started the rumor so yeah, I'll go with the forum admin that is pointing out the obvious instead of the one that is trolling for laughs. And I'm not your buddy, pal.

Wow, "I'm not your buddy, pal." Thanks for clearing that up. I'd use another term if you'd like, sweetie, but the forum police would probably warn me or some crap.

Bottom line is, if this admin's "source" is so legit, presumably someone from TB, it would take less time for TB to go on Twitter and say something along the lines: "Axl Rose has no intention of joining Slash on his upcoming tour".

By not doing that, they're legitimizing rumors and signals that Axl may indeed be joining Slash. Signals like GNR's twitter referencing Argentina this past week. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that's some really odd timing, considering the rumored 'reunion' will happen in Argentina this week.

Why would the Guns camp seemingly promote and fuel this rumor?

Because toots, they realize that it's such a stupid rumor that it doesn't warrant a response of any kind. They can't find it in themselves to believe that someone would be gullible enough to believe it.

  9. I think Slash is bloody great on that show and you are all nuts. It has just become trendy nowadays as a point of elitism to put down the Ritz show and say things like, ''actually, that was a poor night''. If 'honed' means, Axl in white shorts, tracy and roberta, you can stick that 'honed' and place it in a garbage can.

Spoken like a true blind Slash fanboy. Well done.

  10. Slash fucks up nearly every single song there is on this show. If I was too stupid to know that there were way better shows out there I might agree with his blind fanboys that he plays better now than ever. If only every other show they did didn't exist.

His technique is great now, but he seemed to be inspired most of the time in the old days. Now...not so much. Less. Way less.

The Ritz wasn't even a really good show. It was good. There are so many better Guns shows, but I like it anyway.

Even when Slash fucks up and sloppy, it still sounds cool, inspired and fuckin' rocks.

This show sucked for Slash, there are no ifs ands or buts about it. He sounded like shit and Axl completely carried it. Still a great show for the rest of the band but the drugs took their toll on Slash here. I'd be hard pressed to find a worse show from Slash until he quit the band.

Axl only sounded good on a few songs here. His voice was weak. I agree about Slash in this show, just saying if I went to a show like that, Slash's playing wouldn't bother me, cause it still sounds exciting. Much like Axl when he gives a passable performance like he gave in this show.

I was mainly talking about the contrast of a sloppy Slash in his prime, to now, a sober Slash with really good technique but lacking in other departments, more important ones.

Sloppy Slash is better than technical () Slash, I'll agree with you there. Axl's performance is way more impressive to me because I know for a fact that no matter how good I get at singing I'll never be that good. I could probably fuck up the guitars like Slash in less than a year if I set my mind to it though.

Oh totally. I believe in you when it comes to fucking up like a junkie.

Slash is not a technical guitar player, I just meant now he is more accurate and just as fast as he was in his prime and he learned a few new tricks too. Rusty he is not. Just uninspired and unmotivated to create something truly great and fresh.

What Slash can do with his guitar when he's on fire is just as impressive to me as a great Axl performance. In old Guns Slash made his guitar sing and make all sorts of cool sounds like only he could.

That he did. I wouldn't ever think I could play as good as a junkie considering that the junkie in question is the absolutely best player in history in my opinion, but I think I might be able to match him in this show. Never in a million years could I match him on an average Guns show though. Hell, I probably couldn't even match the horseshit he's done since he walked out on Guns.

  11. Sorry. I voted yes to both. Don't worry though, there are plenty of people on the forum with terrible taste in music.

Looks like there are way more people with terrible taste in regards to CD than reading the forum on a daily basis would lead one to believe. The tour results so far are surprising in that it wasn't a unanimous yes, but the overwhelming discrepancy in voters is closer to what I expected. Looks like Russ was much more right than I ever thought I'd have to give him credit for though. Congrats Russ.

  14. Yes to both. CD sucks, which is a testament to Axl's ability to ruin something because there's actually a decent amount of good stuff on the album.

I don't need to explain the touring. Embarrassing beyond belief.

    you suck :headbang:

See, DS? Morons with terrible taste abound.
Among the Axl fans (since they are the only one's that have voted so far) it seems that it's an overwhelming opinion that the touring has sucked. Wonder how CD will fare if the Slash fans decide to respond.
