Mr. Bungle in February. Also still holding on to my tickets for the Ozzy show that originally scheduled 2 years ago.
-
Axl was going a little too fast on the intro too. But otherwise, not bad
-
I legit thought you just posted two pictures of Axl

I didn't listen to it, but I bet it's the same story he's been saying in other recent interviews; which is, more or less, that he saw The Clash playing in a theatre in 1979, fans were pogoing and security started to beat someone up, then Joe Strummer stopped the show to address that and said there was no barrier between the band and the crowd. And all that was formative for young Duff in understanding what punk was about.
i listened to the interview and that is EXACTLY the story he told. I hadn't heard it before, or maybe I heard it but zoned out while he was talking

Well since Slash and Duff are both doing solo stuff I guess there's no time to get together to work on a new GNR album?
I wonder which cities GNR will tour this fall/winter?
There are rumors about the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, which is another hard rock/metal leaning festival that takes place in October and manages to pull in some big acts like Tool, SOAD, and Ozzy.
If they do that one, I think there's a chance they might also play the new Chase Center arena in San Francisco, which opens in September and has already been announcing a ton of big name acts to play over the following months.

Wow, it looks like by coincidence I'm going to be in Hong Kong when these shows are happening. They're also the closest shows to the 10th anniversary of Chinese Democracy on November 23rd, I wonder if that was also a coincidence.

Holy crap, that was a direct quote from the contract?? I thought OP was just doing some clever papraphrasing. How do you even enforce something written in such an unprofessional manner?

I started listening to Guns during the UYI era and he was there, so I always considered him a member. Maybe I would've had a different outlook if I started when they were a 5-piece. Also I may be biased toward his inclusion because I grew up playing the piano.

I like that whoever does these keeps up on current events.

I have a 3D TV and I've found that 3D only really works for cartoons...so I'll probably give this one a try

I barely noticed her at the show I went to, and I was front row on her side of the stage. While on the one hand it might indicate that she doesn't contribute much, I'd also be hard pressed to say that her presence was annoying in any way

Anyone see The Struts?? How were they?
I want to see them live.
As much as I wanted to like them, they were just OK to me. But to their credit, I do have one of their songs in my head this morning

They went on "around" 8:05. Show ended "around" 10:40.
Interestingly enough, as hoards of fans were walking from the stadium on 3rd street, AXL was walking the opposite direction heading back toward the venue. He was escorted by a dozen or more cops. Not sure exactly where he went.
No wonder I heard this big roar like 10 minutes after the show ended and I was already at the parking lot. I thought maybe they had come back out for a 2nd encore!

My money is on an Alcatraz related design....at least that's what I would love to see. If not then the more obvious Golden Gate Bridge related design.
If anyone is going tonight and could grab me one, let me know!
I would like to see a cable car design, with the skeletons of Axl, Slash, and Duff hanging off the sides. Too much to ask for?

I'm wondering if we will see a guest appearance from anyone from Metallica
..being this is their home turf.
Lars showed up in 2006 in Oakland, so that's possible. I was thinking either Lars or Brain (but hopefully Steven)

I've heard good things about The Struts from a variety of people so I'll go with an open mind. But just knowing that other cities got Alice in Chains, or Lenny Kravitz.....
-
AIC is almost a no brainer for Seattle, I wonder why it took so long for them to announce it

They are saving somebody really awesome for the California dates. Right? Although the Skrillex date is dangerously close to the San Francisco show...
-
Man, I was actually thinking about Danzig the other day, whether he's in the pro-Axl camp or not and would actually do it. The Misfits would be even better

Maybe they dont care about being too big and are honoured to do it
Also, maybe they'd be getting paid a lot of money for a one hour set. They certainly aren't embarrassed about making money, they play private corporate gigs all the time.
-
For what it's worth, Taylor Hawkins' other band Chevy Metal only has two gigs scheduled...one in May and one in September. I am very skeptical about it being the Foo Fighters, but I very much want it to be true.
-
Mike Dirnt from Green Day was also in attendance in Vegas, it's all over his Instagram. I don't think it would be particularly "mind blowing" if Green Day opened, and certainly no real scheduling conflicts. They are supposed to have an album out in the fall, and it could be a good leadup to that.
Foo Fighters I agree would be too big, but Green Day aren't as huge as they used to be
-
I'll bet it's not even Gilby's 2nd fav, even though it's the only one he played on

San Francisco was canceled. I wonder what the factor was. The TM email says it was scheduling but I think it was poor sales
