First Single
in 2006
Screw this. Something doesn't add up. When you click on "Millennium" you see a whole bunch of things that are coming out on Oct 24th. Most of them are like African Music or Flamenco, etc. On the second page there is stuff from known artists like Jennifer Lopez and Bon Jovi. Well, I checked out BJ's website and no menton of a single coming out this week. So I'm ready to assume this is not what it seemed. I might email CDU in any case and ask them if they can shed some light. Those are all pretty well known bands too. I'll bet this is just some series of karaoke albums or something like those string tributes, and not actually a recording by those particular bands

Man, listening to the guy talk you'd never think he sings like that.
-
I can't remember the order, but in San Francisco he played Slave To The Grind, Big Guns, Monkey Business, 18 & Life, I Remember You, The Threat, Youth Gone Wild, two or three new songs, I think a cover of Little Wing too
-
If the Phillies and the Cards faced each other in the playoffs, I wonder who Axl would root for?
-
It is a major sport, but I think it's behind football and basketball in poularity these days.
Still, the TIMING is right for this, with the postseason coming up
-
My guess is sometime when they're on the east coast, especially in New York, which would mean early November.
-
I think you just sign up for a yousendit account, it's free. They just started asking for passwords recently
-
Rob was there on the first night too

I get the sense you guys don't want Baz to open. Well, most of you complained about Hoobastank. Who do you want to open?
Baz is exactly who I wanted to open!

Does anyone have any pictures of the inside of the Warfield? Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but I haven't found any yet.
I guess if you really want to get an idea, rent the Slayer DVD "War at the Warfield". In fact there might be some clips on YouTube
-
I love GA. I guess at my age I can still take it, I know older people hate it. I've no idea what a pit is like at a GNR show, but if I was able to handle a Nine Inch Nails pit I don't think there'll be a problem
-
Wonder if it will be the actual GNR recording, most songs on the game aren't done by the original artist
-
I saw Green Day at the Warfield last year and they used pyro. The stage area is actually pretty big for a theater, it goes back pretty deep
-
The Guns N' Roses name alone is selling the tickets. What has the NuGnR done to sell tickets? Release Music?
There living off the past right now.
correct
kroq wont even mention the fact that there a different line-up and there advertising them as just guns n roses with the original line-ups material
this is just plain bullshit
false advertisement
So if it really is the GNR name is selling tickets, and if people are being led to believe that the original lineup is playing, wouldn't they be selling MORE tickets? Wouldn't all the presale tickets be gone by now, and does it mean that Inland Invasion sell out in about 5 minutes?
-
Maybe people are holding out for a show in their town, instead of travelling from across the country.
-
About 2000 I think
-
back when the 2000 tour was going on, i was a member of i don't know what site and that's how i got my presale password and i remember the people on the forum here back then were giving it out, it wasn't a big deal.
There was no tour in 2000. Unless you knew about one and kept it to yourself, in which case, serves you right.
-
This is part of thr KROQ Inland Invasion, so not only will there be other bands, but there will probably be a webcast too. Whether or not Axl decides to allow the GNR set to be webcast is uncertain
-
From the video clips and some other photos the Hammerstein looked like a big room, but on that one taken from behind Axl the room looks TINY!

see sig! i dont think it was anything personal. Its just that Brain is leagues ahead of Matt in almost every way.
Agreed, and he doesn't look like a headbanging hedgehog while playing either.
Brian Mantia is just another journeyman musician. nothing special. Matt Sorum has had huge albums with The Cult, GnR and Velvet Revolver. Brian is a nobody. If he leaves GnR tomorrow he is forgotten.
Those so-called "nobodies" are the ones who have a tremendous impact on music when they find the right opportunities. Matt's had a good ride, and he is a decent drummer, but his latest work is absolutely generic and far from memorable.
Yeah, being a "nobody" has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not the guy is a good drummer or not. Case in point, Meg White is a very well known drummer.
Matt was good enough, I like what he did on the Illusions and I do think he's even better in VR. But I would agree that Brain is a better drummer.

I'm doing that clinic on my own. Bumblefoot put it on the site to promote it to Bumblefoot fans, as I play Bumblefoot stuff at my clinics/demos... I've been Bfoot's drummer for 5 years now, and the fans are loyal
Recommend one of your CDs, I'm open to checking that out. I became a Buckethead fan the same way
-
Um, if I understand that correctly, that means Bumblefoot's drummer will be giving a clinic, not Bumblefoot himself

This station rocks!!!!!!
They're playing a Radiohead song, not even a single either. I'm gonna have to listen to this station more often

John Frusciante was a big GNR fan. If you listen to the end of "Punk Rock Classic" off Mother's Milk you'll hear one example
