  1. So there was a possibility Wichita Lineman and It’s So Easy gets played twice? 🤪
  2. The piano in November Rain is more a percussion instrument. It's mostly hitting the quarter notes, which makes it easier to sing over top. Perhaps has a more elaborate piano rhythm to it. Not saying Axl can't play and sing at the same time, but it's not as simple as playing and singing November. That said, it's not as though the piano in Perhaps changes all that much. It's fairly repetitive save for the fills in the chorus. I'd rather see Axl engaging with the fans during the song than plunked on a piano bench to play mostly the same riff throughout the song.
  3. Not trying to kill the mood, but let’s not expect too much if it’s selected as the B-side to Perhaps.
  4. Guns N' Roses announces the upcoming release of the long anticipated song, The General! https://gnrmerch.com/collections/music/products/perhaps-7-vinyl Announced as the B-Side to Perhaps. Physical Release Date: October 27, 2023
  5. Guns N' Roses releases its newest single and video - Perhaps
  6. A new Guns N' Roses single, music video AND confirmation The General is coming next.  Crazy 24 hours.

  7. Issue is the YT link works only for people in Asia and Europe. It still doesn’t work for people living in North and South America. Once it’s 8/18 for everyone we’ll post the YT link in the OP.
  8. This is a song for Guns N' Roses fans, particularly fans from the Chinese Democracy (and maybe from the Illusions era). But I really don't see how this sticks with the casual or non-fans like a traditional single might. I think you really need to like Axl's singing voice to get into this song. It's akin to Don't Damn Me... Both are good songs but if you can't get into or past Axl's vocal stylings you're not going to make it too far. I chuckle a bit when I hear people claim this song is a bit more radio-friendly. How many radio-friendly songs of late have thrashy-metal sounding vocals in the chorus? I think another obstacle of it hitting with a more casual fan base is the lack of a distinctive Slash guitar part/solo. At least Hard Skool had that soaring guitar solo that could hook rock fans who aren't in love with Axl's voice. This has a little guitar interlude that gives the song a pause. I'd hardly call it a "solo." It's a really enjoyable song for this Guns N' Roses fan. That said, I would recommend people take it for what it is and worry less about whether it will resonate with the general public.
  9. This should be a real treat to the 237 people attending the Pittsburg show tomorrow. Got to move tickets one way or another. 🤪
  10. Just a reminder not to post (or request) any links for the song. I'm sure it will be available at some point soon via streaming sites and YouTube. But please make sure it's from an official source. YouTube sites that were created in the last couple of days are not going to be official. Thanks!
  11. And we head to the official Guns N' Roses website and... Nothing. Never mind.
  12. First thoughts: much heavier with the bass than I expected; not enough Slash, unbelievable vocals, Axl sounds less like a sad singing clown in the verses (compared to the demo). I loved it. Good times.
  13. Just wrote that in the mod-chat... It's 2006/2008 all over again. At least for tonight. Enjoy everyone. Hope everyone has their headphones on and the volume set to 11!
  14. One of my favourite RHCP songs, but not what I want to hear right now...
  15. First jukeboxes, now radio. I assume Walkmans will be next...
  16. The DJ keeps alluding to Toronto beating New York 4-0 and I was wondering what she's talking about as the Jays lost to Philly tonight. Thought maybe this was a rebroadcast of previous programming. Then I realized she's talking about MLS (the soccer league in North America). Back on track...
