  1. Now that is a hell of a review, one of the best reviews so far.

Mostly because he actually reviewed the SHOW, rather than just backtalking about past members and how Axl is dressed.

Yeah it seems like he must have been there actually. Many people disagreed with me after the Rio show when I said that you can only judge a show if you were actually there. I am really happy that the tour is proceeding so well!

  2. If you haven't seen this, dig it.

    Taken from this thread: http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?showtopic=178051

Awesome footage! Did not see that before! Thanks for digging it out!

I don't get how Axl and Bruce Dickinson can do that. I was home alone and tried to impersonate Axl once and had to sit down after two songs. And I'm relatively fit.

Yep - Bruce Dickinson is almost in a class of his own. He runs around stage just like Axl and does leaps and bounds on stage AND sings and does his air raid siren banshee wail. Saw Maiden in '07 and I remember thinking then - "only Axl, running around and screaming, can top this...." :D

The difference is however that Maiden usually only does 100minute shows and Axl 3 hour shows.... I love Maiden and Bruce is awesome, but as far as stage energy is concerned GnR is at a different level!

  3. When reading some of the comments here I really wonder what some people are doing in a GnR fan forum. Guy can`t make a single move without some fat moron in South Dakota criticizing him. Instead of being happy that for the first time in eons we saw an interview, people complain about bullshit again (waste of time, dumb questions, blame game....) I have the feeling that some people are only here for anger management or something! As Axl himself said it a while ago: This is not Burger King, you can`t have it your way!!

  4. @DocArunas Thanks for the upload!

What an amazing interview to watch! Axl seems to be actually a real fun and charming guy! I really wonder why he always gets so much bad press!

  5. From Duff's perspective he probably feel like he has chosen a different path in life. He is now in a smaller, newer band and he has a huge potential fan base at a GN'R concert. There' nothing shameful, humiliating or wrong with that all.

Wise words! I think it will be great for everybody who attends the shows!!

  6. Well, except for a few photos i could upload of the show, i did not have time to write what I thought the concert.

The 8/10/2011 show in Buenos Aires was perhaps one of the top three in the last 18 years (To me)..

I'm pretty critical and really bothers me feel that sometimes axl work little, the Rio de Janeiro show got me wrong, pulling great expectations!

But..was one of the most beautiful nights of my life, I saw axl really sing with the heart in every song, every scream, and the best mood ever!

To those who say that the voice of mickey mouse continuously, or sing as in Rio de Janeiro (impossible), i mean that i respect a lot, but they are very wrong. The press of Argentina (terribly observer pessimistic and morbid) had no choice but to say it was amazing!

Last year was really a disappointment, not so much for the band, but by the horrible sound, then the press wrote with champagne and many people buried the band..but this change 2 days ago!

I repeat that I respect a lot of opinions, but believe me the show was almost perfect, and while there are still some adjustments to the voice of axl (I'm sure when they come to U.S. is going to sound better), but was in an epic level in Buenos Aires.

The show began with only 30 minutes of delay, the setlist was great, Axl's voice was great, the band played great, when he started November Rain, amazingly started to rain!! Is incredible, but it's all true, and the most precious thing that I take of this show is seeing Axl sings with the soul, and end the night with a face of satisfaction (surely thinking, if I really want I can).

Was an unforgettable night with amazing spices, and with feelings of awe, because i thought they would never give such a performance..

That night filled me with optimism about the future of the band, not to think we have to wait long to see some movement (sometimes lost hope that the band released new material, and lost in the anonymity).

So, thanks Guns N´Roses!! Thanks for an amazing night!! Argentina loves you, and we will love you for the rest of your life!!

That is great to hear. Wished we had more positivity on the boards!!

  7. Some people here apparently have way too much time on their hands....Otherwise I cannot explain why some dimbulb watching a free live show on the internet could spend hours posting how dissapointend he is that Axl did not do this and did that and sounded like this and did not look like 20 years anymore and does not do what I want....Reading some posts here I can really understand why some stars could not cope with all their "fame" anymore...

I mean seriously: We should be all here because we love the music and we love the band. Could it have been a mediocre show? I did not watch out, so maybe! Could we all have wished for some new songs? Well for sure! Would a perfect 3 hour show helped the band`s image and US ticket sales? Sure

But As mentioned before: Everyone who actually went to the show, spent lots of money, suffered through the rain and had still a horrible time (which I actually doubt at a 2.5hour show that included Estranged) can complain, everyone else can fuck off and become a fan of a generic band that uses half playback in their 90 minute shows....

  8. I did not see the show yet but people who were not there should stop judging, whining and complaining. I am pretty sure that people there had a good time. Also from what I have seen on youtube so far the sound mix was mediocre at least.

From my experience Axl gets better as the tour progresses. Him showing up late, not rehearsing and being good at bad publicity is nothing new, we all know that for years.

I have seen Guns three times last year and it was awesome everytime, even the setlist was more or less the same.

They are using a picture with the old band. Business as usual among the casual music people...

    :rofl-lol:

Well it would help if the current lineup had band pictures taken.

hehe there is some truth in that....

Are tickets already sold out? Only get an error message at ticketsmore.com....Seems like they want to stay away from Ticketmaster!?

  10. Hopefully Axl can swallow his pride/ego and NOT do US arenas. Gotta be embarrassing to walk into a 18000 seat arena 1/2 empty. Tour theatres and smaller venues, the atmosphere would be so much better. He could play arenas in NYC, Chicago, Vegas (maybe) and LA, all other stops should be theatres or smaller. Maybe down the road he could build up to a full on arena tour....maybe.

well, maybe that is the reason why he does not tour the US. Guns can play stadiums in South America and arenas with 12 to 15k people in the rest of the world....
