Was informed on another site that a rock station in Atlanta is having a pre-party at Stats sports bar on the rooftop starting at 3:00.  For those not familiar Stats is located on a side street behind the dome.  Supposed to have drink specials and contests.  Great place to get a buzz on.  Also great place for after party wind down since a Guns concert is not one you will likely want to go back to the hotel and lie down after.

Oh word, that's definitely a good place for that. Don't know how much pregaming time I'll have with work, but thanks for the heads up.

  2. Finally got a chance to listen to this yesterday. Obviously I need to play it back a few more times but first impressions were definitely positive. I didn't listen to We Turn Red before the album came out and I really like that one. Love Goodbye Angels, especially the outro.

Best surprise for me on the album was Encore. I've listened to the recording of their set at Bonnaroo 2012 dozens of times as it was the only time I've ever seen them, and the very ending of the Give It Away jam is the main bass/guitar riff from that song. It was such a great feeling to out of the blue hear a studio version of a live jam I had loved for years.

  3. Missed out on floor for ATL in the presale (if there were any). Considering doing the Nashville show instead since it's on a Saturday and 4 hours away/a great place to spend a weekend instead of a Monday like Atlanta is.

  4. I'll call it good but not great. If we can get material on the level of the highs of Cruel Winter (Don't Like, The Morning, Mercy, etc.), then what the fuck ever though.

Wish I could make it down for this one. Might be our last chance to meet up at an AC/DC gig :(

Luckily, Dropkick (the AC/DC of celtic punk) will be touring until the end of time with all of their lineup changes.

I like the title track, House of Jazz, Safe in New York City and Satellite Blues.

Those ones, Damned, Meltdown, Come and Get It, and Can't Stop Rock n' Roll are all good tunes. SUL isn't great but is still pretty solid overall.

  7. Flick of the Switch is great. Fuck you if you don't like it and consider yourself anything past a casual AC/DC fan. Fly on the Wall is alright, but has some better tracks than people give it credit for. Blow Up Your Video is probably my least favorite AC/DC album.

  8. Awesome. I'm really excited for this album. I'm With You was good but not great, but I hope that in the same way Frusciante came into his own with BSSM after the good but not great Mother's Milk, Klinghoffer can do the same.

which is what the whole appeal case hinged on, the cba is the cba, the owners and the players(stupidly) signed off on it giving goodell certain powers, which he used to suspend brady, he has been doing it for years. i think there should definitely be a neutral third party for appeals, and i also agree goodell's use of punishment has been wildly inconsistent(hardy and rice) but there is really nothing players can do for another 5 years to fix it.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. It's bullshit but it is what it is. What bothers me the most is that at no point was there an objective review of the facts. That's all I wanted.

Am I missing something? wasn't his suspension reinstated by the court? so evidently they felt there was enough evidence to suspend him.....

The court wasn't ruling on the facts of the case - it was whether under the CBA, Goodell was legally allowed to use the process he did or not.

Cheaters are still entitled to a meaningful appeal under the CBA. By having both the initial discipline and the appeal heard by the Commissioner's Office, the league violated the basic tenets of American labor law.

    ALLEGED CHEATERS.

Joking aside, that's exactly it. Now Goodell can decide that he thinks for whatever reason, something affects the "integrity of the game" (which is the most bullshit phrase) and suspend the person allegedly responsible for however long he wants to, with little-to-no recourse for them. Have fun!
