I like the new band, but GNR will not be back at full strength again until Slash is back. Until then, it will just be a fragile shell of what it was. Having everybody just back whatever Axl says clearly isn't resulting in progress.

I think the implication is that it will happen the other way around. At this point, one could easily argue that Axl needs them more than they need Axl, but the real truth is that they all need each other. None of them have come close to what the did together since they split.

I think Axl should do a cover of Sinatra's My Way, and really emphasize the "and so my friends, the end is near" line.

Whatever show it was, it was certainly before 2000. Any post 2000 show can't even be considered until they are touring supporting and playing mostly the music they made, not someone else's songs.

Still, no promises people. No one has ever said, "listen, rolling stone interviewer, i promise.... i pinky swear the album will be out this year." Saying that the album will be out this year is not a promise, with GNR its a statement of HOPE! Even Ron blogged or wrote an email saying that it should be out this year, if all goes as planned. Well it seems at the moment that all is not going as planned, and thats that. Dont get on Axl's case because of promises when he made none. Personally if they have to redo the whole cd to include ron and frank, take your time, this thing better be perfect when its released. Axl/Merck also said the album was coming out in 2000, then 2001, and 2002. You don't trust GNR with release years.

Now if Axl pinky swore with me that he'd relase the CD this year, that might be a different story.

Theres so much more to life than waiting on an album. It will come out when it comes out.

If I lied as many times as they have, nobody would believe me either when something legitimate happens. That's the price you pay for not being honest or communicating with people. When you have a history of telling your boss (or the fans in this case) what's going on they tend to be more forgiving than when you have a history of making things up and blaming other people, like Axl has.

What's even funnier is some people actually think Axl is close to death. He has a fucking cold. 3 days of rest which forces him to miss a concert that nobody was going to anyway, big fucking deal. Hell, even if he were deathly ill, that just means we'd be closer to CD being released since the biggest obstacle will then be out of the way.

Axl has the potentially fatal disease many musicians face when trying to make a comeback. I think it's called Lackofticketsalesitis. This disease when combined with the common cold always results in the cancellation of a show for the good of all future shows.

Could someone please enlighten him? I tried my best, but it seems that there is a problem with his processor. He see's the information, but doesn't input it nor process it in his brain. I mean, if you have a cold today, and don't taake any actions to heal it, you can have fever by the end of the week. So if Axl was already sick at the Chicago show last night, he could have an even higher fever today because he didn't rest and instead performed. And if you read the topic on Merck's message this morning, you will see that I don't believe everything GNR camp says.
