  1. If everything is going great, then we'll have a deluge of positive posts.

Seems to me the c*nts are c*nts regardless of what's going on.They like being c*nts and will continue being c*nts...because being c*nts makes them feel special...kinda like the nerds huddled in the corner at recess.

But that's all subjective of course...can't name names...that would be bashing. :book:

    ;)

Just like the c*nts that support everything Axl does will continue to be c*nts that support everything Axl does no matter what. Don't forget the other c*nts that will bash the hell out of some other c*nts for no reason just because they see other people doing it and think it's cool.

The truth is that most people are like me and want the new band to succeed, but are concerned about the trends and history that has been established as long as the band has been in existance, but more importantly, the trends that have been established since one person has been calling all the shots. Supporting the band and accepting everything they say and do are completely different things. One can exist without the other.

  2. Can we please make a separate section for all the doubters and axl-bashers! I'm fed up with this!

    rock4

Wouldn't it be easier to make a section for the 150 people or so that follow Axl no matter what? I hear there is a Robin board somewhere. Go check that place out. I'm sure they all believe.

He doesn't need to do anywhere you request.

    Huh?

Anyway, I don't care where he goes or what he does, and I'm glad he supports the new band. To expect everyone to believe everything the GNR camp has to say is foolish at best. I suggested somewhere he could go if that's what he was looking for. That's all. Nothing more was implied or intended.

No! this is a GNR forum. If you sad acts joined a forum purely to just mock Axl and the band you need to seriously get a real hobby, or for that matter a life!

I agree with you. The thing you don't get though is that almost everyone is here because they either love GNR or love the new band, or both. You need to understand that Axl has done some things that deserve to be addressed. Not everything is great.

I want the new band to be great. They are not putting themselves in position to succeed. That is disappointing.

  4. so why are you here honestly...........

i swear some of the people that come to this board are pathetic losers, honestly man you sound like a bitch.

if you dont like axl, why do you waste your time posting here then?

i bet you wont even answer to this...

I have been a fan of Guns N' Roses since 1986 and it troubles me to see how their legacy is besmirched by the arrogance of an egomaniac. Since 2002, I have been consistently told how incredible this line-up is, and how monumental their impact will be when Chinese Democracy is finally released..

The truth is obvious - I, like every other member on this forum - want to hear what has taken ten years to produce. I want to know what was so important about this album that would compel Axl to drive away the remaining members of the classic line-up..

In 2006, we finally have the opportunity of getting past all of the bullshit. We are given firm promises on the deliverance of the album, but what happens? Axl decides to cancel a show in the US due to poor ticket sales. And as I said before, he has done nothing but alienate a depleting fan-base. If the debacle of the 2002 Chinese Democracy World Tour didn't make things clear, this obviously won't..

Tell me - you aren't the least bit upset that Axl's actions consistently deprive the band of credibility? More importantly, I feel embarrassed for the members of this band itself. These musicians have invested years into this project, and the entire thing can be put into jeopardy by the selfishness of a lead singer. It happened before and this incident is a parallel to that very occurrence..

This version of Guns N' Roses is a joke to the public and it only hurts the legacy of the Guns N' Roses that I remember..

Axl is supposed to be a genius; a true artist, correct? Well, he needs to show me something more than failed attempts at reliving the 1990's..

EDIT: Axl hasn't released an album in 10 years. Do you not realize how arrogant his actions are when he decides to tour and cancel shows because only 3,000 fans bought tickets? It is a disgusting lack of respect for the people that made him..

    -Kickingthehabit

It's a sad day when someone that's been a fan for 20 years has to explain why he's a member of a GNR board. :drevil:

  5. The the two guys from Popa Roach donot appear to be too sympathetic during this news report over the concert no show.

Cool news story. Lots of great shots of Slash in there.

It's a shame how Axl keeps his new band a secret. When he pulls shit like Portland under the name "Guns N' Roses" it reflects poorly on Slash and Duff, who've worked very hard to please their fans.

PR will be off the tour once daddy Axl sees their comments.

  6. Haha, and how many GNR shows have you been to in 2006?

You can't complain if you don't go to the shows and don't know what's going in Axls mind or you apart of the GNR team. They DONT need to promote because they ARE selling tickets. Just because they are a big band they don't have to make there promotion bigger than some other bands. Especially when it's not the original GNR and they're selling tickets.

You can't complain if you don't go to the shows? What if you went to the show only to find out it was cancelled. Can you complain then since you didn't get to see a show?

They are selling tickets, they just aren't selling enough of them. 3K for a major act is an embarrassment anywhere. Izzy has had bigger solo shows than that.

  7. Why does everyone panic after one cancled show?

    2002 :(

We should really put 2002 behind us I mean it was a different band everything was different back then but the ball is rolling right now for Guns N Roses and the Euro Tour prooved that. We had a slight bump in the road but everything will be fine tomorrow night.

Tell that to the people that went there only to find out the show was cancelled after they had paid for the hotel and driven several hours to get there. It's always a small bump in the road to the supporters until it actually effects them.

They lied (again). That is a major problem that people have. They blamed someone else (again). That is a major problem.

  8. first watch this and listen to what he says

1- Fire Marshall fault? Its GNR Camp duty to have everything settled, days before playing in each venue. Like maximum capacity in a venue, fireworks limitations, alcohol limitation, etc. Its GNR Camp fault NOT KNOWING this in advance.

wrong. they HAD that in order when the local production crew knew that other bands with the same equipment had no problem playing there. READ PRESS RELEASE.

2- Like someone said: "Pyro's is no f*ing excuse. I was just there 2 weeks ago for Godsmack. they had big pyros. Motley Crue last year? Big Pyros. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't the freakin' pyros". It's not that the fire marshall over there HATES AXL, so he prohibites GNR using pyro. NO! Its not like everyone in this world is against YOU AXL.

see my comment above. maybe they DO hate axl. there's alot of christian psychophants out there.

3- For the fans? Are you kidding me? Are you serious? I think most of the fans prefer watching a show without pyros (and maybe knowing the reason why there are no pyros), than no having a show AT ALL!! Or take one more day off and travel to another city to see a show with that includes the "all mighty unreplaceble" pyro.

your oppinion. i've seen the 2006 show over 8 times and i couldn't IMAGINE it without the pyros. still, it's his art and his choice.

4- Were is the rock n roll man? Stop the bitching and do the fuckin show without any pyro and just say "fuck the fire marshall, that asshole didnt want us to do the freakin show, well here we are fucker!!". Its more a diva attitude than a rockstar attitude to cancel a concert cuz of this.

    see art coment above.

5- Cant you go just make an accoustic set instead? Like a more intimate concert? What in the world stopped you from doing that? It would be a more fuckin special show than those who have the normal set with pyro.

see YOUR OWN NUMBER 4 ABOVE 'where's the rock n' roll man?'

just as many whiners like you would be whining about wanting a 'rock' show..... INCLUDING YOU!

5- Fuck it, this is fuckin horrible to the tour, less people are now, willing to go to a GNR show cuz of this. NORMAL fans just doesnt appreciate this stuff.

your oppinion. reality is, that was a small town and a small venue and this affects the tour MUCH less than cancelling jacksonville and nashville, but everything went GREAT after that. GOOD JOB SO FAR AXL!

read the press release one more time... shit, THREE more times since your reading comprehension and attention span is obviously that of a 10 year old. and watch this again

Yeah, because we all know that the GNR camp would never lie to protect the truth!

  9. Kaneda, you call selling vibrators, pussy molds and dildoes at a gay porn shop public relations?

    The record keeps on skipping....

Disconnect from the internet and reconnect with the real world.

In the real world, Axl cancelled a show because he couldn't sell enough tickets and blamed it on someone else. I'd say the internet is a nicer place than the real world for the 3000 or so fans that he screwed over, in addition to the several thousand other fans over the decades.

  10. I just think that as fans we have the privilege to question the validity of their statements and explanations. It doesn't mean they owe us anything, but we can still question the facts. :)

Ummm. No you can't. See the countless posts bashing anyone that does so.

Get your head outta Kaneda's ass, jerky. We bash morons like you and Kanedouche because you add nothing of value to the dialogue. Whereas intellectual, and elequent posts like P4A's questioning the validity of the explanation are met with dual respect for an open discussion. OK, now feel free to shove your dome back into Kanedouche's sphincter.

Thank you for validating my point. Your contirbution is much appreciated.

  11. According to Maine's WGME-TV, GUNS N' ROSES only sold 3,000 out of a possible 6,500 tickets for last night's concert at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland before the show was called off by the group. GUNS N' ROSES' management issued a statement blaming the cancellation on the "limitations imposed by local fire marshals." A GN'R spokesperson explained that the conditions "made it impossible for the band to perform their show to the usual high standards that their fans deserve."

Not sure why they thought that the truth wouldn't come out.

LOL - the disclaimer made me laugh. Good one!

  13. This is exactly why I didn't buy a ticket this time around. I was burned in 2002, but not again. I'll just live with my memories from the original band.

    :(

Cornell - I got "burned" twice with the original line-up, this shit happens regardless

Isn't it interesting that the only common denominator is Axl? Really has nothing to do with who is in the line-up at all...

I must be a bit slow today - what do you mean, I dont get what you're saying?

I'm saying that cancellations are not 'new' GNR specific and that ALL artists/act cancel shows for a multitude of reasons week in, week out.

You're saying Axl is the common denominator because he's the only member left? that wouldn't make sense to me, but maybe I didn't catch you right?

Listen. I'm not saying this is good(its not!), but why does every fucking thing fall on Axl's lap, in particular when there is a cancellation?

Because it's his show, and many people claim it's always been his show. Well, if that's the case, you have to take the good with the bad. All I know for sure is anytime a show was cancelled with the AFD or UYI band, it wasn't because Gilby broke his wrist or Adler couldn't play. The show went on.

Funny how everyone blames Axl for every little thing that goes wrong. Like everyone really know's who's to blame, like they have connections with the band.

I wonder if Axl will rant about this situation tomorrow night

It's funnier that Axl never accepts responsibility for anything/

  14. Actually I think the cancellation was all part of the promotion. They're getting more press and more buzz on the net than if they actually had played last night. So what they pissed off 3 thousand people, they'll get their money back.

Cancelling the show makes the band look relevant, and Axl still a bad ass. I think it was a brilliant idea.

It IS over if that's their idea of promotion.

  15. here you are

Axl supporters get quite defensive when you hit too close to home Kaneda. Here come some more personal attacks when they can't defend against the post.

One person and one post not even in the thread or addressing the specifics of the post. Congrats.

Read the rest of this thread. Far more bashing of the person than picking the post apart. But of course you knew that already.

  16. There's nothing worse than not letting something that's dead rest in peace. Start over. Have the testicular fortitude to stand on your own merits outside of the band you were once in. Once any of the driving forces of a band dies (or leaves due to inactivity), the band is finished. Let it be.
