  1. I'm just wondering at what point do we finally admit to ourselves that the party is over and it's time to go home.

It'll never really be over. We'll always have the great albums the band has released so far. You don't have to stop being a GNR fan. There are a lot of GNR fans that don't want to hear CD, there are others that want it to come out but don't care that much, and there are others that think (for some reason) that CD defines what is GNR. Anyone that doesn't fall into that last category never has to stop being a GNR fan no matter what does or doesn't happen with CD.

  2. There have been plenty of complaints by people that have gone as well as numerous observations by those that have gone that others in attendance didn't appear to enjoy the new songs or solos. Anything else?

  3. I think GNR were kind of unofficially banned from the AMA's after Slash and Duff's drunken, expletive laced acceptance speeches in '90. But that was a long time ago, and neither Slash or Duff have anything to do with GNR now. All that said I highly doubt that this will happen. Guns are always rumored to appear at almost every major event in the U.S.

I'd say neither Slash or Duff having anything to do with GNR now might be part of the reason that this won't happen. With no album to promote, the majority of the world doesn't care about this version.

  4. Totally unrealistic, but I'd like it at least.

  5. Look at the Axlites still fawning over him.

I find it amusing that only Slashole fans are complaining on this Topic!! :o:lol:

    pwndz!!!111!! :shades:

You can't own somebody by saying something that isn't true. There has been a lot of Axl supporters added to the list of people very concerned about what isn't happening. Go read the threads on the show that was cancelled, then get back to me.

  6. If you consider correcting inaccuracies that lead to rumors and lies to be bashing, than go ahead. every post i've made speaks for itself. truth is, you're trying to find a reason to get rid of me. the first three sentences in this thread are absolute lies and you want to distract everyone from that fact.

but i don't care. which is why i chose to browse this board without personal identity. bye, bye, so long, awe

I thought you were leaving a few posts ago.

You don't have the ability to correct inaccuracies. If you don't have the facts, you cannot correct other people's versions of the facts. Any paranoid fuckhead should know that.

  7. yeah but he even stated they don't care about criticism, etc...which is the fans views you are speaking of. It is the bullshit that they pull out of their asses and present as facts and don't even try to say people don't do that here or on anyother messageboard because it definitley happens.

They don't care about criticism, but they blast 80% of their fanbase publicly twice in the past couple weeks? They cancel a concert and are quick to claim why they didn't cancel the concert, but refuse to claim why they did?

Axl has a history of just doing whatever he wants. You can choose to believe what they (management) throw out there as fact. That's your right. Don't expect everyone to believe stories that don't make sense just because Axl said so. Supporting him is great, sucking on his right testicle is unnecessary. You have your own mind. Use it for something more useful than you currently are. Form your own opinions.

  8. you used a plural and you know it. and you know why you did it

    "shows"

your picking apart my argument and doing dumb underlying shots without taking it all in and thinking

    and there's a rule about flaming,and spam

I read it all. and your entire point is based on two assumptions, which i regard as lies considering the bashing that happens to axl

Based on the last post by Merck and Axl, they think we aren't going to the shows

    really. who told you that?

Complaining fans and less than half full shows, there's reason behind it.

it was one show in a soft market. if you were a fan, you'd have read the ltest press release and not implied that MANY shows are half full.

you still suck and are pretending to be philosophical in your discussion as you plant seeds in people's minds to believe lies. if you're not doing it on purpose, then read this message again and try not to DO it again.

yes seal, that's another reason why i know this is a bullshit thread by an axl hater copied from another bb where he spreads his shit there too

Axl? Is it you or is there another paranoid fuckhead running around?

  9. I just want to say a big thank you for Merck and Axl for explaining this in detail. I wish you'd have more similar kind of contact with fans in the future, especially in Axl's case. I really appreciate this and once again thank you for clearing things up. Hope to see you again in the near future.

Yes, very good of them i say.

Did either of you even read the post? What exactly did they clear up, because they never said why the show was cancelled? It's posts like yours' that make them think they are doing things right.

  10. but we had a lot of letters from fans in the area and we were determined to play there regardless of whether it was "only" 3500 people.

Just out of curiosity, anyone know who I write to to get GN'R to play my home town? Or does that only count for americans in Portland, Maine? We've got Motorhead and Status Quo coming here in the next couple of months (and Pink, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane... but maybe I shouldn't mention them..!) so why can't GN'R?

    KK x

    You actually believe them?

  11. This is the case!

    seatchartkings2bs8.gif

Look at the picture! Now we have to clear things out. If the arenas full capacity was 6000, just look at the picture and figure out how the capacity was in this case. This was not a basketball game..

Some on this forum who had been there said that there only was one section that wasn´t filled to max.

If the arenas total capacity was 6000(without the stage so u can count in the sections behind it) it would only take 2 thirds-4000. Still lack of sales?

6000 is the concert set up. Nice try though.

  12. All that trouble to say it was somebody elses fault but not one clue as to why it happened.

GnR statements are vague because they cover their asses, they went to all the trouble of blaming officials but don't say what the officials did or threatened to do..............guess they can't for legal reasons.

Legal reasons is GnR's savior and best friend :drevil:

So if I'm reading this right, you aren't happy with the situation either? From what I can tell, you appear to be a pretty big supporter of Axl and the new band. If you aren't buying it either, doesn't that say a lot about management/Axl and how they've handled things? You're not alone either. There are a lot of people that are leaning away from supporting and towards questioning after years of blind support.

In so many words, they told anyone not 100% behind them to stay home. If that happens, the tour will be cancelled immediately when 500 people show up at the most. What the fuck are they doing?

  13. Most bands do not go to Portland, Maine because it is what the music business calls a "soft market" but we had a lot of letters from fans in the area and we were determined to play there regardless of whether it was "only" 3500 people. We are doing something positive in a negative world. If you are with us fantastic. If you want to live your live in an adverse way stay at home.

Now thats should clear things up.

Yeah. The new question is why did they just tell 2800 of the 3000 to stay home?

  14. When people like your self talk out of your ass, and talk bullshit , yes bullshit(you never met jarmo have you , you have no idea whats goin on , your just in the internet world trying to be something you arent), And yes I was perplexed by the reasons for deleting of post and stuff, but rest assured, once you really meet people and hang out with them and can laugh about all the bullshit that goes online, then you would see what is going on. Bitching behind a Cp, isnt gonna do you shit, get out , meet other gunner fans, go to shows, and realize that your constant moaning online and shit , will get you nowhere, and the only one in the game who's lost is you!

    I respectfully disagree Jazjme.

Nobody is saying Jarmo isn't a great guy to hang out with. He may very well be. But that's not the issue. It's about fans coming to a fan board to share their opinions with other fans. Sorry, but I just don't see fans' views creating "confusion and chaos." *shrugs* Does deleting those opinions mean they'll go away? I don't think so. Addressing them and debating those views could though.

I don't always agree with what you have to say on things, but you are correct on this one. The only thing that will make the fans stop questioning or making assumptions is more information from GNR and management.

  15. Maybe it already has been posted a thousand times:

Why is it so hard to believe that the show was not cancelled because of tickets sales? The fire marshals and the building made it impossible for GNR to play. Everytime we agreed with something they found something else and that went on for almost 3 hours. Our crew were been threantened every 10 minutes that if they would light one cigarrete they would get a 1000 fine. If any of the fans coming to the show and would be cought smoking they would get a 1k fine. If anyone would look intoxicated they would be arrested. If anyband member would look intoxicated they would be arrested; if they felt that the pyro would cause any danger, they would stop the show and the list goes on. This incident has nothing to do with nybody in axls camp. promotores, our team and management came to the conclusion that cancelling was the right thing to do. Axl and band were not part of their decision at all. so please stop jumping to conclusions. is it better for the tour to continue or hv them arrested and maybe a cancelled tour? is was one show and lets blame the right people. stop jumping axls throat over this. he was going to do the show and got a call from management saying that the show was cancelled.

    Betas post from http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/i...topic=38723.100

You don't believe this, do you? When is the last time Axl followed anyone's orders?

  16. Yea, I havent seen the band have bottles of booze on other gigs so I don't belive it

At Rock In Rio 2006, during Welcome To The Jungle, Axl held a Jack Daniels bottle in his right hand.

He's done that at other shows, too. But not enough that it would cause them to cancel. They haven't done it before at stadiums with liquor laws.

This sounds to me like what the security guards at the show were saying and the fire marshall is now saying: GN'R used it as an excuse because Axl was pissed that ticket sales were so low. The stadium was less than half-filled, and someone turned away yesterday at the gates said a security guard told him this was the reason Axl wasn't there.

The fire marshall is implying they are using the pyrotechnics/drinking issues as an excuse to cancel the show.

Answer me this: The show was cancelled only two hours before the first act were due. Why did Axl wait until then to cancel bearing in mind he would have already known about the poor sales?

Because they couldn't give away enough tickets to even get it 2/3 full?

Maybe something else was wrong and that was the final straw?

    Maybe it wasn't his decision?

Maybe Maine was too cold for Axl?

You're asking a question that is impossible to answer (maybe you know that). Who the fuck knows what Axl was or is thinking. If we ask that question about everything he does, this place will get even crazier than it already is at times.

  17. John Deen, Maine State Fire Marshal was just on the air with WBCN stating that the pyro technics were fine, that one small adjustment was made. The only issue was that the band wanted to bring bottles of booze on stage and this is prohibited by the liquor law. They can bring cups on stage, but not bottles It was rumored that only 3000 tix were sold and normally when about 500 fans are waiting outside to get in, there were only about 50. Axl was rumored to not even be in the state of Maine. State Fire Marshall calls bullshit.
