I wish I got the Jimmy page from like 15 years ago

Yeah man, you have to pay a pretty penny for those now in the aftermarket. I really want the Gene Simmons "ALIVE!" and "Hotter than Hell" ones but would have to find them in the after market. KISS collectors are rabbid and they are pretty pricey as well. I actually scooped up the 3D Vinyl cover of the first KISS album this morning because I know it will sell out soon. I can not believe I spent that much money on toys in 24 hours. I am done for while.. Although that Metallica "Lady Justice" keeps caling out to me lol.

  2. I pre-ordered this last night along with some other ones.  These things have been on my radar for awhile now but finally pulled the trigger. They are all limited edition and pretty much all sell out. They make up to 3000 of each and that is it.  They are pretty expensive but the resale value on some of these is pretty crazy.. not that I plan on selling them. I also got the KISS stage crate and the entire Black Sabbath Saborage set.. They have two Guns sets that only have Axl, Slash and Duff which kind of annoys me. I can see maybe the Illusions one but not the Appetite set. If it was the entire AFD5, I would be all over it. I hope the quality is as great as it appears to me.  They have pics from all angles that you can zoom in on and the attention to detail is pretty remarkable. There ae some minor discrepencies due to licensing I guess which is understanding.  The guitars don't have the make on the head, Slash's Adidas only have two stripes. Axl's suspenders say "Guns N' Roses" instead of "Harley Davidson".  I am going to wait until they come in but this could be an expensive habbit! There are some pretty awesome earlier releases that are sold out and I feel like I need them!

Finally got around to playing the concert LPs. Excellent sound and cool set lists!

Been working through the Vegas show one side at a time. It sounds so good. There is always a lot of talk around here about the current lineups tempos being too fast and the Vegas show again confirms that. The last song I listened to was NR from Vegas and it was fantastic. These days it sounds like they are rushing through the song which probably doesn't do Axl any favors. It also sucks the emotion and feeling out of the song and the solos. Anyway, the Vegas version fucking rocks.. That little Slash jam at the end was cool as well

Tbh i dont like Myles. I find he makes the conspirator records pretty boring now.

Would rather slash, duff and matt back in VR with a new singer or Slash do another album with feature vocalists.

I was all in on the Conspirators for a long time.  Myles has grown so tired and the last 2 albums did nothing for me.  I wish Slash would try something different.

He doesn't really scream at the end of It's So Easy. He sings in a slightly higher pitch than most of the song where he sings in an extremely low and deep voice and sounds more like James Hetfield from Metallica, but it's far from screaming. He screams in Right Next Door To Hell, but It's So Easy isn't really screaming.

You're wrong. He is pretty much giving it his all at the end of ISE.. Either way, he sounds good. Unlike the mid-range Mickey voice.

  6. The problem is that he doesn't have to sound like Mickey Mouse. The guy has other vocal ranges that sound great.  Just replace the Mickey with his lower voice and save the screams and balls out parts for when they count. Like the "You know where you are" parts of Jungle, the end of Its so Easy, most of Nightrain, Reckless Life etc, the end of Don't cry and Patience etc.. People know he is 60.. It would sound a lot better to compensate for and adjust to his deficiencies with the tools that he still has then just sound like shit.

Even you can admit that the band sounds good live

I don't know about that.. They seem to lose a step every year and it should be the other way around. I have said from the beginning that Slash sounds better with his own band than Guns and that becomes truer every year.  That said he was still stealing the show every night and I attribute his level of playing more to his lack of real chemistry with Fortus and Franks crap drumming than Melissa. Nothing has changed there. They were good enough and some nights really good but not as good as they could or should have been. Even on their best nights in 2016 and 2017 I have a hard time thinking Melissa had anything to do with it. I personally don't think female backing vocals sound good in this band and I didn't like when you could her synths more prominently during shows like the Appollo.

They could be on fire this year though. I haven't really watched any videos since they first started playing Reckless Life.

I have seen 4 reunion shows now.  First one (Vegas) was great for the experience.. The 2016 Foxboro show really was great.  The 2018 show wasn't that great but better than the last time I saw them at Fenway..

Honestly, who wants another Appetite at this point?

I would. I would kill for another aggressive, heavy album.. After Appetite they released an Acoustic EP, ventured into those EPICS on the illusions, releases a punk cover album and whatever you want to call CD. Though CD wasn't "they" it was Axl.. Why not come back around and just release something in the vein of Appetite. Rock bands don't need to continuously evolve EVERY album. And honestly Appetite was their most consistent, solid and most well received record.. They will never be able to match that but why not try?  They could still progress a bit while trying to deliver something in your face and bad ass.

There is nothing to look forward too, imo. It really is embarrassing when you look at their glorious past.

It has been that way for a long ass time. The reunion was way too late. Axl waited until he had no cards left in the deck.. Imagine if it was around 10 years earlier with a better lineup? They could have had a legit resurgence and released some decent music.

All I hope for is that they don't give us just revamped CD2 drawer stuff with Slash pasted in. That would be not only severely underwhelming, but also unfair - towards both the fans and the name.

That is all it will be.. Absurd and Hardschool were the nail in the coffin for this band as far as I am concerned. At least for any hope of credible half decent music. This lineup still kind of blows anyway.
