I wouldn’t have a problem with them putting out a reworked OMG on an album but releasing it as a single would not be a good move.

Would be Cool to see a New ACDC cover added to the set. If guns recorded all the covers they’ve done since the reunion we’d have a new album right there lol.

None. Just release live versions. I already met a GNR fan who was pissed about Absurd because “they just re-recorded a song from Chinese Democracy” an actual CD redo would not be well received.

Absolutely not, unless We’re talking about cringy songs or something. I remember I went to see Ghost in a GNR shirt a few years ago & a concessions worker got on my case about OIAM. I pretty much only listen to it nowadays if I’m listening to the whole Lies album. I do however, wish all the other singers who did the same thing got the same amount of hate that Axl does.

They should take some of the Re-Recorded AFD tracks, have Slash & Duff overdub them, slap some crowd noise on there & release them Live Like A Suicide style.

The Atlas/Quick song rumors  have been going around forever. Not saying that it’s not gonna happen but first it was for a greatest hits, then an EP, now they’re the next singles.

I mean I would love to have Clink back but we all know if there is a new record Caram is gonna produce it just like with HS & Absurd.

Damn last comment I was hoping I would get here before Pele derailed the thread.

Hardschool on the other hand, didn't get much radio play because it sounds exactly like what it is - nuGNR feat. Slash and Duff, all sloppily pasted together.

Also probably helps that:

1. they released an actual music video, prominently featuring their very popular returning guitar player.

2. This song didn’t leak 3 years ago.

3. Anthony’s vocal tracks were not recorded during the Californication sessions.

I listen to both pretty frequently, I put together a little 8 track Album/EP with those 2, OMG & fan remasters of the most complete leaks. It’s a nice little compilation but I’d probably listen to both a lot more if a had a whole record they were both on.

Not 100% certain bit I think Nick Sterling (played on Baz’s Kicking & Screaming album) auditioned for the band before they got DJ

For the love of god I just hope whatever they release has updated vocals so we can put an end to this being every thread.

Yeah the reason Tommy can’t get Going Down back is probably because it was written & recorded on Guns time. I highly Doubt DJ or Ron have any songs like that because I highly doubt any new songs were written/recorded since they joined the band, especially not any written by them.

To be honest I’m a bit disappointed that “Slash says new music is coming” hasn’t been added to the title yet.

I still listen to both pretty frequently. Probably not as much as I do with other new songs from my favorite artists but to be fair I’ve been listening to Absurd Since I was 15 years old & HS for 2 years + now. 

Are they really about to drop Some un-overdubbed Material  from Live Era? Dozens  of shows recorded from that tour & that what they go with lol.

Do y’all think the screams on Absurd were recorded by Axl later or do you think they were cut from another demo like the Hard Skool bridge?

I just hope Elvis with vocals leaks/get released someday just to spite Pele.
