The 15th anniversary of CD would be perfect timing! The constant goalpost shifting is exhausting. Had friends through covid who were terrified of it and constantly moving the goalposts on what requirements would need to be met in order for them to be comfortable doing things. They are still staying almost almost exclusively. I'm tired. It wouldn't make sense to pick any specific market or city as the place to debut a new song. I think that notion is ridiculous. For whatever reason, I feel Axl got cold feet combined with TB not having a clue of what to do. Whatever, I have my leaks, I heard the new version. I'll personally be shocked if the freaking General comes out this year like we're predicting. Pleasantly shocked, but shocked nonetheless. I'm trying to keep my expectations low.

My name is Craig and I swear to god this Craig is not an accurate representation of us Craigs. We're decent people! -
My opinion, the chorus. I think Axl recorded new lower range vocals to layer underneath but that's about it. I think the mix was great, given the old dive bar speakers I had lol Right? My wife thought I was insane and stupid. I'll fight that battle in the morning. But when an app tells you you have a new GNR song available and they're 0.6km away and it's 1:10am and they close at 2am, you gotta go for beer. At least the bouncer seemed to enjoy it. Caught him tapping his hand on the table along with the song.

Strange in the sense that, listening back to the recording I took of it, in my opinion it's clearly Robin's solo that starts the first note or 2 but then immediately taken over by a new Slash solo. It's strange, but I like it. Not sure that if I had never heard the demo version I'd have caught the difference. I also feel there's some new Axl vocals laying under the first chorus. Like, it's layered with the original vocals but these new ones are lower in range under there. I can't wait to eventually get this in proper quality for a better listen on a better sound system.

Honestly I'm impressed. I live in the low income end of town haha so our bars sound equipment isn't the greatest. But from this vantage point it sounded better than Hard Skool imo. I don't know what's happening with this band but clearly I've just heard for myself. Perhaps is a thing. I can't believe I just heard that. My wife thinks I'm insane for leaving our friends at 1am to go to a dive bar to listen to one single song that I had to spend $5 on jukebox credits for along with another $5 for a Budweiser but I don't care. Worth it.

Literally nobody can lol. Both company's have their strong markets but what irks me is the constant posting you see of "LOL THE VIEW THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO SEE" when it's literally happening in both company's. I dream of a world where we can all just pick one, the other, or bits of both that we enjoy and can actually enjoy without being ridiculed by the "other side" for it.

I agree. I feel you don't listen to mixes in a studio to see which sounds better if a release is imminent. I haven't looked up US ticket sales, but if they aren't doing as strong there it definitely makes sense to hold off a little closer to, just to generate some buzz and get some last minute tickets in. But where's that line of waiting too late?
