Just flipping by the VMA's and had to wonder, What the hell happened to the state of popular music in the U.S.A.?. This could certainly be a reason why Guns have only played 1 show in the US in 4 years. Just a thought but I had to look up who performed on the VMAs when Guns were at their height of success popularity wise. Check it out its a sad commentary on music today, especially in the USA.

Do any of you think the media's misportrayal of events will negatively impact a US tour (assuming that they plan to at some point)?

Many journalists give very biased reports when they have to talk about Axl/GNR. But GNR was always surrounded by negative press from the start. Now, it’s worst because the line-up isn’t the same so journalists have another aspect of GNR to criticize. But I don’t think these incidents will stop the US tour. Besides, GNR has already been portrayed as a joke since 2001, . Negative press? Well, nothing new. If GNR wants to play in the US, they’ll do it.

Axl has many more problems with Slash than Slash has with Axl. A lot of the problems could be solved by some apologies

Axl and the guys were probably caught by the excitement and soon started to smile an make jokes among them; for example BBF started puffing air from his mouth pretending to be bored during a couple of DJ's solos; someone threw a bra and Axl said that it matched his thong, ecc.[*]Last but not least talking about Axl's attitude: you might like to know that a very famous music journalist here in Italy mentioned in his review of the concert that after the concert in Milan he saw a steady flow of beatiful girls in the band's dressing room coming and going but Axl - in his bathrobe - was apart practicing his voice (cool-down exercises) until late night.
