  1. I agree, but then why didn't he get his ass up there and do just that?

im guessing he didnt know what was goin on with axl either , point 1 .. if it was a tech issue ron was obviously there b4 axl and would have known about a tech issure therefore would not have gestured to axl with his watch implying why were you so late ?

He didn't gesture Axl at all, certainly not in any of the clips I've seen. He does that gesture to the crowd.

    Exactly.

  2. do you remember axl punching that photographer before the tour started ???

its just a bit of media hype before this leg of the tour starts , it makes the next fews gigs a bit more exciting "will they turn up " kind of thing !!!

its been on bbc radio 1 news all day , so its quite a big story over here in the U.K

Just building anticipation thats all

Axl Rose is one of the most searched names on Yahoo at the moment. But nah, this isn't good publicity.

  3. I hope Ron understands that the fan who reprinted his e-mail wasn't trying to stir shit - the user even PM'd me asking to have the post(s) removed after realizing that it might not be best to make it public. He was just trying to clear up why Bumble was upset the other day.

I don't know if Ron reads these topics or relies on secondhand accounts from people on his own forum but I hope someone lets him know that the guy who posted his email wasn't trying to insult him.

The problem is that some ¨fans¨ wanted to stir shit...

  4. Many Celebrities Twitter Accounts Were Cracked Yesterday!

Probably Twitter had a problem on it's database, many celebrities had their Twitter Accounts cracked!

Here in Brazil, the brazilian football (or soccer ¬¬') team coach had his account cracked, someone changed his picture to a clown, and brazilian famous actor Dado Dollabella had his twitter cracked and then deleted.

    Really? It wasn't only Axl?

  5. I just came back to South Texas from South Dakota. Very intense trip! Lots of flying and driving. This is my 5th time seeing Guns. I drove from Edinburg Tx to San Antonio Tx. Flew from San Antonio to Denver Co. Rented a car and drove to Sturgis. My wife and I arrived to the venue around 6p.m. and ended pretty damn close. A couple of rows back, leaning on the rail. We already heard that Axl came on very late, but I noticed something that kind of worried me as a fan of the whole band. While the crowd was getting upset and throwing shit, I saw Ron in the corner with very much disappointment in his face. I know that it bothered him that it was very late and he couldnt play yet. I know he wished he could do something about it, but couldnt. During the concert I saw him pointing to his imagery watch and saying sorry to the fans for being so late. I also noticed that he didnt smile or seem to be having a good time. I have seen him live before and he is with great attitude. There was even a time when Axl and Ron were at the front of the stage and Ron just turned with anger. I know he just rolls with the punches and deals with it, but I sure hope that he doesnt get tired of it. I know when Robin was with the band he hated that Axl would make the crowd wait. There was a time during NIghtrain that DJ went to the middle of the rails and I touched him. I felt like a little school girl after that, but hey when do you get close to a member of your fav. band and actually touch them. It was a moment for me. I wonder if Axls gives them that idea? By coincidence at the Hammerstein shows I was in the front when Robin came down during NT and I got to give the man a half hug. In Axls defense.. When the opening band finishes and its time for the crew to put up the GNR stage, it takes a while. A long while! ITs not just Axl the whole time that makes the crowd wait. Overall the concert was great! My wife was a little sleepy and mad that it started late, but that all changed when Axl and the boys came on stage. As you guys already heard DJ has a really great stage presence. Drove back to Denver after the concert ended. I have never been over there and driving at night time in the black hills was fn scary! Thank God my wife and I came back in one piece.

So it was a great show, awesome! Thanks for your review

  6. Shackler's has a very catchy beat and is generally a very catchy song with a nice hook and groove to it--I'm wondering why this song never caught on. It has ''single'' written on it, more than any of the other songs.

Personally I wish CD had been totally in the style of Shackler's and Oh My God--They're my favorite songs from 'new' GN'R.

    Yeah, Shackler is catchy.

  7. from the following leg dates, which are sold out?

London (23,000) and Birmingham (16,000) have now both sold out.

Thats just the presale though, right?

Nope both are completely sold out.

Considering how well they've sold they should really consider another UK date *cough* *cough* London

So they had a good selling. Good

  8. Well its lasted about a decade and it's been fun. Recently I have been diagnosed with small cell cancer and through research and word I have heard there is not much that can be done. Over the years I have seen a lot of stuff happen for the band and the fans. This has been a huge part in my life and I don't know where I would be without everyone hear. I don't know how long I would have lasted as a fan if it weren't for the demos throughout the years and then the release of Chinese Democracy. Over the years we have seen a lot of high points for Guns and also some low points where we could have lost hope but as fans and a community we drew together and kept everything alive. I did have the pleasure of seeing Guns live this year and was blown away by them, 2006 and 2010 were experiences I will never forget. I do hope to see them one last time. Hopefully by the time its over I will have heard the next album or some sorta new material. I would like to thank everyone hear and the band also for keeping the dream alive.

    Thanks. God Bless.

Be strong. You are and will be a gunner forever. Kiss

  9. Anyone else feeling like Bumblefoot's interviews keep having more and more...slightly negative undertones? This isn't purely based on the last interview, but I remember when Axl was late for a Europe show Bumblefoot was legitimately pissed. I think that's when I started noticing it. After that I feel like the interviews weren't as positive as they were before, I dunno, maybe it's just me.

The idea of Bumblefoot leaving is just really sad because he's great and I think that'd be the end of GNR, I honestly think a reunion would be the next likely scenario (second to GNR disbanding). I just can't see Axl in his right mind (crazy thought) not just thinking "Alright, enough's enough, this band is bullshit by now, I can't just pick up another guitarist for the 6th time."

Love the music but it's hard to think the band is heading in a positive direction. All that talk of a new album in November...I just don't buy it.

He didn't say he'd like to leave so don't worry he will be in the next shows. In two years, who knows what is going to happen, just enjoy what you have now. Don't think too much.

  10. I'm an 18 year old student, in a crappy part time job, on minimum wage, trying to balance a personal life in which I have to haul my arse to places like, hmm let's see, the hospital, where my Mother is currently laid up having had a serious operation. And then there's transport to college/uni, which obviously during these months I don't have to pay, but will do come September, seeing as my Dad is too fucking broke to provide, and I can't get support for it. Please, do not criticise me for being 'cheap'.

In 2006 you paid £40 to see GNR, now it’s £50. So it’s just £10 more than the last time. You said you had a job, well, it’s time to start saving up money to go to see your favourite bands. Maybe you aren’t a fan of this gnr lineup and that’s why you don’t want to spend that sum of money. Not always things are free or cheap.

  11. Somebody already referenced my post as 'the band being mediocre in the public's eyes', not my own, maybe read the thread first.

I like Guns, Im not obsessed though, Im the middle ground between the public and the fanboys, and I can tell you that the tickets are ridiculous.

But the prices are similiar to other bands, so it isn't ridiculous. You're exaggerating.
