  1. ok ive seen shows earlier this year and he sounded top, but now i think his voice sounds shit at the minute. i just seen some of the irish gigs and welcome to the jungle sounded crap!

anyones view welcome exapt the fan boys

Maybe it was because of the crowd, hahaha. In other shows, he sounded great

  2. He now knows the UK won't put up with his shit.... I gotta feel he won't be coming back next month. What do you guys think?

I think GNR will come back but the shows will depend on the crowds. If people throw bottles during the whole show, they'll have a bad time. It's a pity for those who really like the band.

  3. Guns N' Roses bassist Tommy Stinson is considering his future with the band after a catastrophic show in Dublin tonight during which the group left the stage for almost 45 minutes at the behest of frontman Axl Rose.

Sputnikmusic witnessed Stinson in a heated argument with road manager Del James following the show, which saw the Los Angeles band take to the stage an hour and a half late before leaving after just four songs.

Frontman Axl Rose had threatened to leave when a plastic bottle was thrown on stage before 'Welcome to the Jungle,' and stormed off stage when a second was thrown at the conclusion of 'Mr. Brownstone.'

Stinson was heard to shout: "That's my fucking family up there and he put us in danger again.

"He can't keep doing this. Nothing happened this time, but next time we might not be so lucky.

    "This has to stop."

The band returned to stage after a long hiatus, during which a third of the paying audience left, and performed almost a full set. They finally wrapped up at 1am, an hour and half later than the venue's scheduled curfew.

    saw that at the bar

It doesn't say that Tommy is considering his future with the band .

Tommy is right, this is dangerous. You can't play when there is so much hostility towards the band.

  4. It is being reported that Irish Phantom rock radio 105.2 is being inundated with texts this morning of people who were pissed at the show last night that it wasn't the original line-up performing.

They were waiting for old GNR?? :rofl-lol:

Sure, they haven't heard about the breakup of old gn'r.... good joke.

  5. It's a shame such a small number of pricks tried to ruin it for everyone else. A little over an hour to wait while the set is changed, instruments are fine tuned and equipment tested isnt that long to wait. Really made me wonder if the idiots who were booing had ever even read about a Guns N' Roses concert let alone been to one before. 19 times out of 20, there will be about an hour between the support act and Guns coming on stage. The first few songs werent great as people were booing and chanting for Slash (Why I dont know considering he hasent been in the band for about 15 years).

So Slash fans ruined the show. <_<

  6. The review of the telegrah is so silly. First the journalist bashes Axl, but then he says he is waiting for a reunion. Another journalist who bashes new gn'r just because Slash isn't in it... Not a respetable journalist.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

After reading fan reviews, I see it was a great show rock4

  7. By the way, I think $la$h can be a dick sometimes too (Eric Dover: 1 album; Rod Jackson: 1 album; Scott Weiland: 2 albums; solo album: 23405830458349085 singers ^^). Maybe he's not the eternal innocent he wants us to believe he is. Or maybe he has REALLY bad luck with lead singers? ^^

Slash fired a lot of singers. He wants to compete with Axl .. :rofl-lol:

  8. The London Metro is now covering this exclusive in its GAY Interest section of the paper, also online

    http://www.metro.co.uk/showbiz/839478-guns-n-roses-enjoy-gay-club-night-after-reading-festival-drama

Guns N' Roses 'enjoy gay club night' after Reading Festival drama

Reading and Leeds 2010 hellraisers Guns N’ Roses recovered from their drama-filled British return by bingeing on cheese on toast and partying at a gay club night, Metro can reveal.

Frontman Axl Rose led the session at London’s exclusive Bungalow 8 after a catastrophic show at the Reading Festival on Friday – turning up on stage an hour late and having the band's instruments switched off by organisers during their set due to late-night noise laws.

But Rose seemed to love the camped-up Royal Jelly night hosted by flamboyant club promoter Henry Conway and drag queen Jodie Harsh – and went the distance until the early hours.

Realising rock royalty was in his presence, DJ Jim Stanton quickly adjusted his setlist.

Axl Rose at Leeds Festival 2010: 'Be safe, good night and f**k you' (...)

This info is more complete, thanks!

  9. If one was reading NME (which changed the writers rating from 8/10 to 6/10 for Reading), Billboard, Spinner, Gigwise, and the 100 other reviews (most of which are just regurgitating a few nasty reviews), one would have thought GNR's performance at Leeds was the worst show in the history of rock n' roll. It's so sad that the media is slandering the bands performance last night--from all 1st hand accounts, it was incredible! Amazing how ridiculous the media is, and how easily they all seem to be brainwashed into writing the same thing. Most of the writers reviewing Leeds keep repeating the report that "most of the crowd left during GNR", but from all accounts on the ground and pictures, it was actually the highest attended show of the weekend at Leeds and completely packed. The media, and these other corporate rock bands dissing GNR, are total frauds and pretenders!

I think GNR should stop going to those places.

  10. figured this would be about his tattoos. oh well.

Either that or those lip piercings. Geez man get some non gay looking fashion accessories.

ive always been a fan of hoop earrings myself

    implying this is cooler:

    newswire_dj-ashba_1.jpg

And then, some of you criticize Ashba... uhhh :rofl-lol:

They're artists they can wear anything they want.

  11. Those who were at the show thanks for your reviews!

I loved Axl's rant at the promoters. He started by saying that the band had been guaranteed until 11.58 however now they were being told their show was over. Tommy had a little rant too, saying how it was in the "middle of a fuckin field ion the middle of nowhere, who gives a fuck?!!" Back to Axl... "Well we're gonna play you one more song. This war ain't fuckin' over yet." Cue Paradise City. And then the show was over... but one last word from W. Axl Rose: "To the cops and the promoters, FUCK YOU!!" Cue MASSIVE fucking crowd cheer

    haha. Classic.

  12. Someone from here should call in

    haha, it'd be fun. :rofl-lol:

Axl Rose is a rock N roll star! Not an X Factor wannabe singing for 10 year olds! The press are far too negative and fail to mention how much the crowd were loving it, They were chanting 'let them play' because the show was simply amazing!!

    Good W. Adam S

Don't know what it is w/us or these last 2 shows. Takes the fun out it 4 everyone fans, band n' crew alike but whatever. So u know we allegedly had a deal in place pre show w/the city at least at Leeds to do a bit longer performance that was either miscommunication, someone wasn't informed, changed their mind, didn't care or was a con.

Regardless the nonsense just seems so unnecessary but w/out real management or industry presence is unfortunately beyond r control.

We hope the fans feel they got at least what they could from us under the circumstances as 4 us all things considered that's the main thing. The rest is filler. Anyway, enough rambling.

Peace, thanks 4 understanding n' what we did manage to get done out there was a blast! The crowds n' fans were amazing!! And in r opinion (not that apparently it means much) u deserved better!! Thanks again!! Axl-

A new twitter. He is talkative, ha.

Despite the circumstances (bad blood between GNR & promoters), I think they did a good job. And it was good they decided not to cancel Leeds show

  14. I'll post a full review tomorrow when I'm not absolutely knackered. But Guns N Roses delivered tonight, oh man did they ever! Crowd was a wee bit lukewarm to start with, but there was no tension in the atmosphere whatsoever by the end of It's So Easy and they were a joy to watch, totally in command of the audience, they loved Ron especially, and at the end the whole fiasco with being ended early, the crowd was totally on the band's side. :D

What a fucking night, best birthday ever :D.

haha, tomorrow, we'll wait for your full review, happy birthday!
