  1. Wierd. I clicked on the LIvenation link for this show and it says this event no longer exsist! Whaaat??? :scared:

I still show it. I have been calling this radio station all day for some info on the password and other things, they never pick up!

The link on GN'R Facebook page is gone but i found another one. Yeah let me know if you find out the password!

  2. Some say that someone else helped write stevens book and then stole the credits for it. With no proof other than a thread started somewhere else about it,

There is no actual confirmation it was stolen or even a law suit filed. I bought the book. I liked it, because I'm a fan of steven. It has a few whimsical moments

in it. It is good to read it to hear stevens side of the story but all in all, Slashs book is better written, longer and more detailed. I recommend buying Slashs book.

  3. I liked Rhiad when I first heard the live version and I was looking forward to the studio one,

until I heard it. I the studio version sounds older like its from 1999 or so. Of all the songs

Ax lhad re-recorded he should have done Rhiad again, It would have been better.

  4. (Drumer here) I read in a magazine that matt used over 20 or 30 different snares to record the illusion albums.

Adlers drums are more raw and natural sounding, while Matts are tuned to perfection, Sounds like matt is always

trying to perfect something instead of finding a good sound and sticking with it. The drumming styles are totally

different too. Matt's drums sound good but Steven plays more fluid. I think it comes down to style.

  5. Cool, do you know where we can listen to the snippets? I wonder if there are pre-production recordings, it'd be cool to hear them.

I'd love proper recording of the song from the preproduction sessions, too, if that even exists. I have posted the snippets on Appetite For Discussion, you might need to be a member though to get access to them.

I never heard that a clip of this exsist. can someone share it here?

Marc canter is probably the only person to own a copy of this since

he recorded most of the shows back then.

  6. Slash is no sell out. He's just doing what he likes which is making music, however he can.

his latest music is pretty damn good! I'm looking forward to more. Some of his old choices

of who to "Jam" with maybe questionable but that's just him keeping buzy. When he isn't

with a specific band he has free time and fills it by playing with different artist. He is becoming

his own brand and he makes money by promoting himself. Most of us wish we had the luxuries

opportunities that Slash has had. I say he's doing pretty good for himself. At least he's out there

and is accessible as an artist and isn't full of himself unlike others....So I say go Slash!

  7. I seen those videos, It's common for lawyers to teach their clients to stop and think before you answer.

In court every word you speak can and will be used against you and i'm sure Axl is used to how a court

system works  I thought I read in Steven's book that Slash and duff did testify. He said something

like the court didn't believe them so steven won. I would love to see the videos of those guys testifying.

  8. So we all have our opinion. But on one side, didn't we get what we wanted? Axl released CD!

He did tours. The band is out there (at times) and we have heard from him and other members

on these forums. What else do we want?

But on the other hand, It could be years or Never when the next CD is released. The tours are

very sporadic, and rarely starts on time. The ever changing line-up can be a bit ridiculous at times.

We can be very critical of the band at times, but isn't Axl doing what he can to keep the band

going? We can't really say he's given us nothing, but is it really enough? What's your thoughts?

  9. I love the live version from 2002 best. The intro part of Robin's that was omitted was my favorite.

I miss the synth whistle in the background during the verses and the name change was a bad idea.

The studio version sounds more like a demo from 1999 or so. I don't like it. The live one is better. ((better))

  10. I love anything Original GN'R. I thrive on it, even though they're not together.

If it has to do with Slash, Axl, Izzy, Steven or Duff.....I'm interested!
