Incidentally, though - I'd FAR rather they get themselves back into the studio before they set foot on another stage.
In two weeks' time it'll have been 9 years exactly since CD came out and there's not been any serious peep about anything new being put out. 6 albums in 30 years, one of which is a covers album, is NOT enough for a band this good.

Same. Really wish the UK got an arena tour like the US has right now. Hopefully they announce some more dates?
If TWAT + Prostitute are still staples by then and Axl sounds good, i will fly all the way from Sydney to Europe. Been meaning to go back to Bordeaux since I left in ’09, dying to go to Norway (and finally meet up with @SoulMonster!), and would also like to go to Tallinn. But I’m more cautious about spending a ton of money again since the Europe shows this year didn’t vary too much from gig to gig.
Looking at the Download announcement, they've made no comment that it's their only UK show. So it's probably a safe bet that arena shows will follow at some point, so I'm going to hold out for them.

Festival sets might not get that though- there's got to be some time time constraints on them, if they want to fit many others on the bill!
That's very true.
With any luck, a few other dates here and there will be announced. In 2006 they did both Download and a full UK tour, so fingers crossed. I can't see that they've said this date is their sole UK gig, either.

Eugh, no solo UK dates. Really don't fancy seeing them at Download.
Equally, don't want to miss the chance to finally see TWAT or Prostitute played, given they now seem to be regulars.

Does anyone still have screenshots of Pittman's original tweets again? Would like to read them again for a giggle...

Just woke up and watched a few clips.
It's So Easy was good. Then watched Jungle.
So much potential...Heck, even Rio 2011 at least gave us a surprise with Estranged.

Just woke up - haven't read anything, first post I see is yours. Does that mean the show was good?! Any surprises?

Im still unclear on how Slash brought material to Axl and Slash said not to make any changes. Does this mean that the Snakepit songs that were ostensibly written for Guns already had Dover collaborating on lyrics and vocals?
Because Dover wrote or cowrote all the lyrics and melody on 5 o'clock somewhere. If Slash had written earlier drafts on his own and wasnt willing to let Axl tinker with lyrics and melody why on Earth would he let Dover? And Dover is said to have written 100% of Beggars lyric and melody - a track that Duff has a writing credit on that we have video of them working on on UYI tour.
What are the complete tracks Slash brought forward for Axl to simply preform and who wrote them and when? And if Dover was involved did Axl know who wrote it?
I assumed he means general song structures/melodies which he had written and which Axl would have had to work around

I was watching an episode of Frasier last night, as it happens. Love the show - used to watch it all the time a few years back. Cheers has its moments, too.

It seems to be a common thing that he doesn't do many photographs. I met Slash after the show at Nottingham Arena in 2013. There was a queue of probably around fifty of us. We were explicitly told one signature each, and no photographs.

It's just a band. It's just music. There's really no benefit in getting so passionate and/or angry about it.

It's just music. It's just a band. It's five men who are able to make their own decisions on things.
I'll never understand why people take stuff like this so personally.

Some of those clips are pretty great - I really dig the Chinese Democracy one in particular.

Love the Priest - looking forward to the new record and (hopefully) the subsequent tour.

You're not missing much. Cathedral Spires from Jugulator is probably worth a try, though.

I was there both nights and thought he sounded fine. Don't listen to the bitching. If the people at the shows enjoy it, that's all matters. They're the ones who bought the tickets, not people watching online.

No. I just did both nights and London and can safely say I had a great time. That's more than good enough for me.

Is 29 C/ 84 F considered serious heat to Londoners? (temperatures from google)
Us Brits don't do well in such temperatures. It scares and confuses us.
Though it does at least mean that the ladies bring the skirts, shorts and sandals out....

Now on the coach after the gig. Another solid show - Axl in particular seemed a lot more fired up and into it tonight.
The crowd in the GC again seemed a bit subdued than you might expect - very likely due to the serious heat. The place was boiling today! But the band played great, and the setlist variances made it worth doing both nights.
Still seems like I'm destined never to see TWAT live though

somebody on Twitter saying they dedicated KOHD to Glenfell tower victims, anybody know what was said?
Big respect to the band if it's true.
He did. Them and the London Bridge attack victims. Naturally got a great response.

Just about recovered from last night...roll on round 2!
The coach from Nottingham has been delayed by 50 minutes though *grumble grumble*

Amazing show, it was a dream come true
Did Axl seem a bit down or was it just me ???
Loved the setlist, Slash and duff were amazing and so we're the rest of the guys. View and sound were perfect but as I was the outside of the row people were constantly going to and from the bar/toliets etc and it got a little bit frustrating
I noticed he looked a bit gloomy during November Rain
