it just seems to me they could have just gave the guy a summons, and been on there way but to fucking choke hold the guy over a cigarette is insane.

Haven't seen the video but pretty sure they used a choke hold because he wasn't doing as told, not because he was selling cigarettes. Police tend to be edgy when it comes to big men who refuse to cooperate. Not condoning what they did, just dn't think this oversimplification helpt anything.

the cops were there for a misdemeanor, putting someone in a choke hold or attempting to put someone in chains for a crime on par with jay walking is asinine to begin with. the guy wasnt violent or was he fighting, yeah he didnt put his hands behind his back but you have 8 officers there, you dont need an illegal chokehold to put him in cuffs, then when he is on the ground the is guy is yelling he cant breath a bunch of times, the guy is asthmatic and cant breath they put the cuffs on him and...
