I reckon any recording by ex band members will be rerecorded and played by the current band members.

There's every chance that they'll feature, but keep in mind PHT was out the band a month shy of 7 years by the time Chinese was released and he's all over the album. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the recordings are kept.

Oh absolutely. All this 'insider' nonsense has proven to be wrong time and time again.....yet still gets bought into! T-Rex cover, Terminator, new EP, Live Album etc etc. Same old shit, year after year.

That Slash thing is the only 'rumour' worth paying attention to. And as you say, could be nothing, could be something.

Could a band such as GNR ever be recording in a studio and that information NOT leak? I'm cynical as to whether that's possible. Obviously efforts would be made to keep it low-key, but Axl only had to step foot in a room with AC/DC and that went around. Could they seriously keep recording covered up?

Axl has a studio built into his home, so it's possible that he's been working on things from there and I guess if that was the case, that would work best for the likes of Slash and Duff to avoid any press as they would be none the wiser of anything going down. Plus, I'd be interested in knowing that if, in an ideal world, a new album was going to be happening, how much of the backing tracks did Axl keep from the previous sessions recorded by the Chinese lineup. Is it possible that Brain's drums, Pitman's synth or Paul's guitar can make an appearance? It wouldn't come as a shock if any of that happens. I just hope that whatever is released acts as a great follow up to Chinese and beefs up the catalogue a considerable bit.

  3. Picked up the Passenger's album that U2 made with Brian Eno. Quite chuffed with this.

Do you guys log your collections be it on Discogs or on your phones? Originally I done it with all my Queen records but thinking of doing it for everything now.

Also, debating whether or not to purchase Live Era. I can't see it being re-released on Vinyl any time soon, what do you guys think? The price is ridiculous.

The god of bald men at the very least.

    Forever in Grant's shadow.

My mate was telling me he's off the drink throughout January, so I said I'd join him in doing so. I always tend to blow the arse out of it during the festive period so the break will do me good.

I'm not sure whether that Beyonce release came alongside multiple reports/rumours of her being in the studio though that fans latched onto.

Really, the only rumour we have there MIGHT have been studio activity is that Slash guitar business. As far as I'm aware there's nothing more is there?

To be honest, that's the thing I'm holding onto most. Never mind all the apparent 'insider' drivel that we get fed time and time again, at least that was concrete proof that out of touring, they were jamming/working on something.

Knowing my luck it was for a brand new 20 minute version of Wichita Lineman. "Still on the liiiiii..." outro for 16 minutes continuously.

  6. For what it's worth, I wasn't meaning TB coming here and commenting on leaks but rather clarify the mass YouTube take downs, fans being racially abused on their own forum along with management's juvenile comments on social media, saying that they are "fed up" with one particular fan, who has parted with tens of thousands of dollars travelling to watch this band among other things.

Del defending the YouTube takedowns then posting a bootleg video on his social media....

Were any other songs chopped from the release? I can’t understand why it would be on a broadcast but not the official release?

I think it was due to royalties etc that it was cut out, I seem to remember there was a thing back when it was about to be released that Neil Young's camp were playing hard ball. I've got the DVD somewhere, but the broadcast included guitar jams etc, I'd guess that was all removed from the official release. I'd need to watch to confirm though!

    What was the hassle.

Im going to Prague too and im curious

You'll have a great time, nothing to worry about - I just didn't plan my journey very well. I was about a 3.5 hour walk from my hotel and couldn't seem to find a Taxi along with not having a clue where the train station was. All easily avoidable, I just didn't familiarize myself with the area when I had the time. Eventually managed to grab a Taxi, but for a period I thought I was stranded. Everything considered, Prague was actually one of my favourite destinations when I was travelling back in 2017.

Going to a Prague show!! I didn’t expect myself to be this excited

I know that Axl will sound not like his younger-self, and propably they won’t play anything new but still there is something great in their shows. Can’t wait for june

You'll have a great time mate. If Axl sounds anything like he did at the Prague show in 2017 then you'll be in for a treat. Great venue. I really wanted to go again but it was such a hassle getting to my hotel last time, so just going to wait til I have accomodation/travel sorted for the shows I'm going to before taking on more!

Looks like I will be testing the theories of those who believed GC tickets were available easily in the week before the London '17 shows as I missed out on a ticket for Saturday next year.

You'll 100% get a ticket - even through Ticketmaster's resale site closer to the gig date. People will be panic selling etc if something pops up, so you might end up getting it slightly cheaper.

  10. I found myself bored in Berlin, specifically about midshow. I think it just took it's toll that I'd essentially seen the same show 6 times by that point. However I had a much better time in Gothenburg a month later, so fuck knows what happened.

I've listened to Appetite maybe once in the last 10-12 years, and that was the remastered edition that came out last year. If I want to listen to anything from Appetite, it's either live or from Live Era, as for me personally, Axl blows it out the water with his re-recorded vocals. Outstanding. CD, Live Era and Spaghetti are probably my most played at the minute, minus the leaks. I listened to Atlas on repeat everyday going to work for about 2 months solid.

I also come here most days. If anything, this place keeps me ticking over along with the leaks revitalising my belief that something soon should happen. Got 4 shows lined up for the summer, I'd love something other than a deep cut or a cover.
