CD won't come out this year, that's pretty obvious now. But I honestly think that some months ago it was meant to be released this year from Axl's side. That's why they wanted to add "Better" to the Harley commercial. But then things changed again, the "Better"-commercial leaked at one point, but was never officially aired on TV.

Yeah, a statement from management would be nice. But not one that only reads "GN'R back at full power and firing on all cylinders. Tha band is ready to rock and is coming to a city near you soon., blabla..." We want to learn something about the status of Chinese Democracy, damnit!

maybe i used the wrong words, because what i meant was why people always have to complain about how the old band was so much better than the new. you know? it wont be changed, thats why people needs to stop complaining about the new band not playing as well as the old.

Ah, I see. And I'm totally with you. Complaining isn't useful at all. But a nice comparison of different styles and possibilities of playing these solos without any hard feelings can be quite interesting and fun.

If Merck really said what sp1@t is reporting, it's semi-official that there won't be an album this year. The only possibility for GN'R and management to smooth ruffled feathers would be to release a statement asap (in 2006) including a specific, set in stone release date for CD some months in 2007. But I don't see this coming, to be honest.

This is not the usual moaning or bitching but a plea to the band and management:

GnR are without question a great band with loyal fans, fans that deserve a degree of respect and or interaction from the band.We understand the concerns over commenting on issues where the results may change, but it is time the band and management interacted with fans and chucked us a bone.We are not asking for a release date though it would be nice but simply asking for a status/progress report on the band future plans and CD.Some of the comments that have come from people connected to the band regarding fans have been a discrace.We are not just people that sit at computers bitching and moaning about set lists and Axls clothing but people who pay good hard earned money to see the band we love.We are not owed anything from the band but this is no longer an issue of being owed, its an issue of GnR realising what a loyal bunch of fuckers they have fighjting their corner, and trust me we are fighting.We are more than aware of this bands potential but the band should also be aware of the fans potential, we have the potential to help turn this band into the biggest rock band on earth again.It is us that will be standing in line to buy CD and tour tickets, it is us that will be buying crap rags just to read articles relating to GnR.We are loyal and ever patient but enough is enough.Show the fans some respect and throw us a bone.Repay the loyalty that we have given to every incarnation of GnR.While the internet is a big carbage can for most of us it is the only way to get news but because of the lack of official contact we have hoaxes and false hope aswell as crappy rumours designed to mock fans.We are your fans, maybe you may want to make us less open to hoaxes by giving us updates and allowing the band to comment as indeviduals instead of trapping them in your cult like contracts.

I second both, the plea for information (because it's damn right, well written and expresses my own feelings better than I could in a language I'm not a native speaker of) and the request to mail this to Merck! (Although mailing it around 50 times would do, no need to flood his email with 100 mails! )

There was a thread about this a few days ago. I really like the idea of the crowd demanding an album release within this year via signs. Axl must realise that the fans haven't forgotten Axl's promise and want him to stick to his word or at least give an update if the album is postponed again and why.

The Blues is more of a complex song, you can't get into at once. Better is more catchy and radio friendly. People who will listen to these two songs for the first time (like the audience of some major event) would prefer Better over The Blues imo.

Here comes the "but": I don't expect some kind of performance at a major event, because the album is nowhere to be seen.

first I would like to say: I respect why Axl wont play dont cry, and I wouldent kill myself if it was never played aigen.

However, Guns N' Roses would gain SO MUCH on playing it.

Dont Cry is a VERY famouse song, many people I know who dont like GN'R often like Dont Cry(and the other famosue ones offcourse....)

There isn't an official reason. Just the speculation that was mentioned. I don't believe this reason btw. I think there may be one reason which takes credit for Don't cry, Estanged, Civil War, Yesterdays all together aren't played anymore. And that reason may be just that Axl doesn't want to play these. So easy.

last night i was watching satalite. I was watching 4 different shows. And a commercial for GNR came on, 7 times on different channels, promoting the tour. It was a very fuckin cool commercial. Very bad ass. It had clips from some of the U.S shows, and it also showed GNR doing a clip of " Better"

It also said at the end of the commercial " GNR CHINESE DEMOCRACY WORLD TOUR, TICKETS ON SALE NOW."

Then it said:

" Chinese Democracy in stores winter 2006"

and no i am not bullshitting.

I really don't know what to make out of this. Since there is a total lack of CD release information we have to draw our conclusions based on these kind of small tidbits and hints. That sucks. I want Merck or anyone to tell us if they actually still plan to release CD in 2006!

Perhaps stealing it would be the only possibility for the broad audience to ever hear this motherfucker!
