  1. I was browsing those HOB pics and found this:

    380790_301887409833397_196386010383538_1019802_853310523_n.jpg

Is this Pittman? And those pics are from the new year's eve 2001/2002, not 2000/2001, right? (the date says 31/12/2001)

Are there any pics from new year's eve 2000/2001 floating somewhere? I think I remember Axl wearing a shirt with a dragon or smth like that.

  2. The contract for himym has already been renewed for another season, so worst case scenario we'll know who's the mother around May 2013. Of course it may be 2014 if we get one more season after that and so on. My educated guess is that we'll know the mother first, no matter how many more himym season we'll get :xmasssanta:

OT: himym it's been my favourite tv show since season one. Anyone else?

  3. What about that other version? I remember there was a script of another version floating around, with some clay motion scenes maybe, and it was confirmed to be legit, I think. Don't remember other details though.

  4. Razz had it like ages ago and the camp deceived him into giving up the file. I can't see a lot of dudes with it, I mean that DJ stole a disc from GN'R and was too quickly neutralised for the file to implode in terms of owners.

I've always been curious about this. Can you tell me more? Who's this Razz? Thanks in advance.

  5. I'm the same, ordered the stream, got a password, followed the link and entered the password and got this:

(removed the big screenshot from the quote)

The same here, but when I follow the link it doesn't ask me for the password and I get this message:

I guess this is because I didn't enter my password. Where can i enter it? Any ideas?

  6. Hi there. Having nothing better to do atm, I was thinking about burning a compilation cd with some live stuff from this line up (also including covers, nice solo spots etc, stuff like Riff Raff, Sonic Reducer, Motivation...)

I already have some stuff, but which are according to you the best 2009/10/11/12 shows circulating? I mean both audio-wise (either soundboard or good audience) and performance-wise.

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

  7. Interesting thought, and it could be right. The thing is though, that if your theory is correct, it just shows that we could be far away from an album. No new songs played may mean that he's waiting for the right deal, but how long will the right deal take?

I think you've got the point here, Fuddy. I mean, I think we first had CD songs before the album was out because the album was supposed to be released in 2001. Now they probably have no idea when the new record is coming out (no deal, maybe even no mixing or overdubs by DJ yet), so that's why no new songs. Playing new songs would raise A LOT of expectations, and this let me guess that the release is not close at all. I hope they prove me wrong, of course. :xmasssanta:

  8. There's a bunch of never heard before songtitles in that list and they look completely made up :xmasssanta:

    The Stand

    A Scanner Darkly

    The Mutant King

    Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

Come on, THE MUTANT KING :rofl-lol:

EDIT: ops, sorry, just seen this was made clear on page 7 of this thread (Axl was talking about his fav books etc)

  9. As I Said in another thread, at least 2 things must necessarily happen to see a new album, and we cannot influence any of them.

    1) having Ashba doing some overdubs on the old stuff (like Bumble and Frank did in 2006/7. I hope he doesn't replace a lot of Robin's work, but we'll see).

    2) mix the whole thing. These things took at least one year and a half in 2006/2007 and I don't expect them to do it quicker now.

Then it would be time to find an agreement with the record label to put it out. With CD, finalizing the best buy deal etc took more or less one year (2007/2008). Now it seems the label is less interested in a new record, so it could take even more than that to find an agreement. I guess these are the issues, but who knows at what point the work is (overdubs done? going into the mixing stage? maybe nothing at all?)

  10. Going back in topic, I'd love the idea of a digital EP. Actually I'd like a physical CD, but I guess it wouldn't be that profitable, so a digital EP (maybe with the physical counterpart available through mail order only or smth) would be good too.

If they don't want to release any new stuff, they can put some soundboard recordings of some CD tracks plus, dunno, Riff Raff and Sonic Reducer .

That's just to say, I don't think they're putting out anything like that soon.

  11. Yeah, I remember this tracklist: it appeared on some websites when the release was announced (around oct 2008) then in a few days it was replaced by the "official" tracklist. But it's just a different sequence, the songs are the same.

  12. Yeah, it may be fake, but this was circulating LONG before CD release (i think it's from 2006 / 2007) so if it's fake, the guy who made it nailed almost the same fonts and colors of the actual artwork, that's weird.

  13. Meh, don't know why. But that Touche clip sounded really amateurish. Also, the track was faster than the intro used during the shows, and I don't think Axl would bother to slow down the orchestral parts of that song to use it as a show intro. Also, as one user pointed out, the drums seem to be taken from chinese democracy (the song). But we're going OT here :xmasssanta:

Back in topic: if that early back cover is fan made, the guy really NAILED the fonts and the colors.

  14. I was talking about this in the "touche" thread that got deleted (I suppose). Nothing really new here, but it's a topic that has always intrigued me.

How did you think Axl picked the songs for CD? Is it possible that the tracklist was influenced by the Antiquiet leaks? There was a buzz about this a couple of years ago I think.

Those leaks came in June, wasn't the album ready to go by then? Was there enough time to do any major changes in the songlist? I also remember reading somewhere that it was supposed to be 13 tracks and Catcher was a last time addition.

And what about that back cover artwork circulating around 2007? I mean this one.

Everybody used to say it was fake, but since the album came out I think I read more than one person claiming it was legit, maybe an early draft or something: are there any facts that proves this?

  16. I also heard somewhere that he let someone shoot up Erin with heroin and it nearly killed her but I don't have a timeline/year for this.

Axl accused Steven of injecting Erin with heroin while he wasn't there to calm her down cause she was "hysterical" (don't remember why), or something along those lines.
