Was just listening to additional instruments/orchestra track of Madagascar, when I remembered reading around mid-2009 an interview with a member of some orchestra that he would be playing on the upcoming GN'R tour (think there was a mention of "This I Love"). Anyone remember the link?

I don't have the link, but I guess you're referring to an interview with Patti Hood (the harpist on TIL) where she says something like "if they call me to play on stage I'd go, it would be cool etc etc". As far as I know there were no plans for orchestra or anything.

Finally been able to catch the stream (which I paid for) during Nightrain, and it was an awesome version. Hope the rest of the gig sounds as killer as that. Oh, and I love this pre-Madagascar jam.

One question for you guys: I live in Italy and bought both shows. Is Las Vegas same time zone as L.A.?

Come on, I think it's clear now that the live stream was "the surprises". It was a nice surprise and I'm enjoying it btw. Of course, I hope they play OMG, The General and Jackie Chan before Paradise City, but I'm satisfied anyway :xmassrudolph:

Dunno. I agree with those who say the surprises may be ex members (Izzy / Duff) for a bunch of songs.

It seems he really nailed it, the voice sounded great (and it's just a couple of youtube videos)

As far as we know, the bulk of the new album has been already recorded (hence produced by Axl n' Caram with a long list of weird credits like "Initial production by..." etc etc), maybe needing just some final touches and overdubs. So, to me, more than a producer, the new record needs an expert guy to MIX it. Andy Wallace tried with CD but it didn't work out. Maybe Caram Costanzo again?

MSL knew it? The only "new" songtitles i remember from those "MSL has a memory stick" days were 'Cuban Skies' and 'Blood In The Water' or something along those lines. Did I miss anything?
